Suddenly not wanting to speak anymore, Xia Weibao went downstairs in silence.

When languages do not align, it's a waste of saliva.

As breakfast was served, she overheard Lu Hualiang instructing Housekeeper Fu to switch the beds in two of the rooms.

Anger raged within Xia Weibao. Is that what she meant, huh!

"Squeak…"

Lu Hualiang had just neared the dining room when a shrill noise rang out.

"What's that sound?"

He said, turning to look at Xia Weibao, the noise seemingly coming from her direction.

Xia Weibao's face turned slightly red, and she coughed twice, "It's nothing."

Lu Hualiang gave her a suspicious glance but didn't say anything more, taking a seat to eat breakfast.

Xia Weibao put down her knife and fork, summoning a maid with an awkward smile.

"Could you please help me change the plate, thank you."

The maid was somewhat baffled; why would she need to change the plate for no good reason?
