Bab 115: Skiing

Will had been right. Their mountain had only been covered in snow for a month and a half and Hazel was already over it.

It was beautiful but she hated feeling cold no matter how many layers she wore and largely being stuck inside. Going up and down the mountain in her car—even with snow chains and four-wheel drive—was nerve-wracking every time.

She tried to put off grocery shopping until Will was home so he could do the driving but sometimes she ran out of something she desperately needed in the middle of the day and had to make the trek herself. On those occasions she was sure to reward herself with something sweet from a bakery in town for the trouble.

During the weekends they had done practically everything one could do in the snow. They snowmobiled all over this mountain, made an army of snowmen, and had an epic snowball fight with elaborate forts to hide behind.
