Bab 79: Evolving comrades

With eager strides, Jeran trailed behind Siverra, his eyes wide with curiosity, wondering what kind of expression Siverra would make upon seeing them. The pair ascended the stairs, their footsteps echoing loudly throughout the chamber. Siverra's fingers curled around the smooth metal knob of the door, twisting it open with a soft creak.

As the door swung open, Siverra's gaze locked onto the two figures standing before him. His heart pounded within his chest as he took in the sight of his long-lost apprentices. Had they truly survived all these years?

"How are you two here?" Siverra questioned, his voice thick with emotion. His eyes darted between the two familiar faces, studying their features as if searching for some hint of the truth.
