Bab 20: Fighting out

In a dimly lit chamber, a lone figure could be seen hunched over a parchment, his quill scratching feverishly across the page. This was no ordinary letter, for its contents had the power to change the course of countless lives. It was destined to be sent to all the Kingdoms, and the very thought of it could either spark war or bring about peace. The man responsible for this missive was none other than Siverra, a towering figure revered by many as a god.

As he put the finishing touches on the letter, Siverra cast a searching gaze upon the crowd of his followers. "Can one of you who have nothing to do please deliver these messages?" he asked, his voice carrying a weight of authority that brooked no disobedience. Instantly, a sea of hands shot up, each person eager to prove their worth to the being they had worshipped their entire lives.

"Good...now that that's done...I now need to start leveling up with my Crocoplant," Siverra muttered to himself as he stowed away the letter. With a final nod to his disciples, he turned on his heel and strode towards the exit.

"I'm off. If you all have any questions, I'm going to appoint that guy as temporary leader. This is your one shot, don't mess it up," Siverra declared, jabbing a finger towards a random figure in the crowd.

The man in question was none other than Ran, but his title in the world of cultivation was Dragon Born. Raised by dragons, he was widely regarded as one of the strongest individuals within his sect. "I accept your lordship, I will prove I am the right one for this job!" Ran replied, his voice ringing with a confidence that spoke of his formidable abilities.

With a swift flick of his wrist, Siverra cast a spell of teleportation that whisked him away from his base to another area of the vast world before him. As he disappeared in a flash of blue light, he left behind a mark etched at where he just stood.

The world around him changed as he emerged in a new location. He stood atop a hill, overlooking a lush green valley teeming with life. The air was thick with the scent of fresh earth and blooming flowers, and the sun shone down on him with a warm embrace. This was the perfect spot to hone his skills and level up with his Crocoplant.

Capital Servithus

Seated upon a towering throne in a regal and majestic hall, a man could be seen scowling with an air of authority. His piercing gaze swept the room, commanding respect from all who dared to meet his stare. The room was adorned with glistening chandeliers, casting a warm glow upon the throne room's polished marble floors.

Suddenly, a frantic figure burst into the chamber, panting heavily as he sprinted towards the throne. "Urgent! King urgent news!" he cried out, gasping for breath.

The king's expression immediately changed from one of irritation to one of intense curiosity. He sat up straight, eagerly anticipating what news could be so important as to interrupt his precious time.

The messenger, now on bended knee, presented the king with a letter, his eyes locked onto the king's as if awaiting permission to speak. The king's hand trembled slightly as he took the letter, his eyes darting across the page as he read the words that had been scrawled upon it. The letter summarized, "I am an extremely advanced civilization compared to all others, I have an army like no other. You can either join me, or be destroyed. If you do join me, I require weaponry. Let me know, Siverra."

The king's expression slowly transformed from one of surprise to one of amusement. "This guy is clever," he chuckled. "I guarantee he sent this to all the other Kingdoms as well. Sure, I'll play this game."

The king hastily penned a response, a wry grin spreading across his face as he did so. He then handed the letter to the messenger, his eyes sparkling with a sense of anticipation. It was now a waiting game, one that could determine the fate of the kingdom.

Siverra's Kingdom

=====

The messenger barged into the room, gasping for breath, his eyes bulging with panic as he cried out to Ran, "Leader Ran! We have a response! Lord Siverra is out right now, how would you like to respond?!" The words tumbled out of his mouth in a frenzy, his voice trembling with anxiety. He thrust the letter into Ran's outstretched hand, panting heavily as he awaited the response.

Ran's fingers shook as he unfolded the parchment and scanned the contents with mounting apprehension. Fear crept into his heart as he realized the gravity of the situation. "This... we should be fine... This must be within Siverra's expectations! This is a declaration of war!" His voice quavered as he spoke, betraying the terror that gripped him.

"All the highest cultivators will be stationed and on the lookout," Ran barked, his voice filled with urgency. "The weaker ones who have a ranged attack will be on the walls. The weak combat types will be used for strategical work. Move out!" With that, the entire kingdom was set into motion, their movements resembling that of a seismic tremor. The sound of boots pounding against the ground reverberated through the air as troops hurriedly took their positions.

In a matter of moments, every kingdom arrived on the scene, bearing their flags and armies. Ran's face turned ashen as he realized the gravity of the situation. "Every... every kingdom declined.. we're doomed.." His voice trailed off as he stared out at the amassed forces, his heart heavy with despair.

Suddenly, a man emerged from the throngs of soldiers and approached the wall, his voice amplified by a magical device. "We are declaring war," he bellowed, his tone harsh and commanding. "We demand 5 million gold right now and 1 million gold every week afterwards, or you will all die!" The words hung in the air like a death sentence, their meaning ominous and foreboding.

The man stood tall and confident, his posture erect and his eyes blazing with determination. He believed in the power of his army, in their strength and in their ability to conquer any obstacle that came their way. But his confidence was short-lived.

As soon as the cultivators caught sight of the soldiers, they burst out laughing, sending waves of mockery towards the army. The man's expression quickly shifted from confident to afraid, as he realized that the tables had turned. The cultivators were not afraid of the soldiers. In fact, they were anything but afraid.

"We have lived many more lives than you'd ever be able to! Nervous? We have the strength to crush mountains! Faith shaken? We have worshipped and have been proved of the existence of our god!" they yelled, their voices booming across the battlefield. "Come try it!"

The soldiers were struck by the raw pressure and intensity of the atmosphere. They could feel their morale slipping away, their faith in their leaders and in their mission faltering. Some looked at the ground, unable to meet the gaze of the cultivators. Others sat down, refusing to attack. They knew that they were being sent to their deaths.

But the man in front of the troops refused to give up. "ALL TROOPS ATTACK, NO SURVIVORS!" he shouted triumphantly, hoping to rally his army. But to his surprise, only half of the soldiers obeyed his command. The other half slowly followed behind, their steps hesitant and their hearts heavy.

As the army approached the walls of the kingdom, the man shouting orders suddenly dropped dead. He had been assassinated by one of the weaker combat cultivators, his body lifeless on the ground. The soldiers were shocked, realizing that their numbers were no match for the cultivators' experience and techniques.

Despite the odds stacked against them, the cultivators remained focused on their ultimate goal: to fight for their god. They had spent their entire lives serving him, and now they saw this as their chance to prove their devotion. Failure was not an option, for they could not disappoint their deity.

"FOR SIVERRA!" All the troops yelled as the combat troops engaged the enemy and the ranged ones shot down, all you could hear was screams.

The cultivators didn't need weapons, and Siverra knew if he asked for weapons the enemy would be cocky and attempt to fight his Kingdom. The enemy knew they didn't have weapons now, so his kingdom was for the taking, wrong! Now he could take this moment to leave every single kingdom defenseless and take them for himself. By the time Siverra came back, he'd also have the power to keep it.

There were some soldiers crying, some running. All they could see was all their friends and other kingdom soldiers get decimated, absolutely destroyed by unknown means. They didn't believe that this was even an advanced civilization, this had to be.. God's Will.
