- Meanwhile -
Rose was standing at the edge of the territory of the Moon village. She noticed that their territory expanded since the last time she was here. She was up in a tree so no one could see her. She was wearing a white sleeveless shirt with black arm sleeves. She had black pants with black 3 inch high heal boots. She noticed how Rogues were able to walk through the village freely and there were even humans that lived here. She thought, 'I guess I really have been cut off from the world. I'll have to catch up on what happen but at least I got here just in time for Jin's birthday.' She crouch down on the tree branch as she looked to see how she can sneak in the village as there were wolves patrolling. Once she found an opening she took off.
She made it inside the village without anyone noticing. She started walking around and looked in wonder as there were different shops, restaurants, and so many people. She was a bit worried as there wasn't any thing she recognized. So she wondered around, even was sniffing the air trying to see if she can catch Jin's scent but nothing. It was finally noon when she caught sight of something familiar. She ran towards it to see the beautiful wolf water fountain she used to wait at for Jin. She realized she was at the middle of the village. She went to sniff the air again and caught a scent she recognized. When she looked at the direction of the scent she saw two woman holding a couple of bags talking to each other. The brown haired woman turned her head toward Rose and they locked eyes. The woman was shocked which caused her to drop her bags but she didn't look away from Rose.
Then the woman next to her spoke, "Shinju are you ok? What happen?" When she heard her friend Sora she blink to see that Rose had disappeared so she thought she had imagined and turned her head to see Rose crouched down in front of her helping her friend pick up the bags she drop. Rose then stood up with the bags in her hand.
Sora spoke, "Thank you dear." Rose smiled and said, "No problem it's the least I can do." Just when Rose was about to hand over the bags, Shinju gently placed her hands on each side of Rose's face and asked, "Rose?" She had spoke hesitantly as she was afraid what she was seeing was a dream. Rose gave her a small smile and spoke softly, "Hi Mrs. Mishima. It's been a long time. " Shinju quickly hugged Rose with all her might and cried. Rose and Sora were shock. Rose then got worried until Shinju spoke.
"I'm so happy that you're back Rose. I missed you my dear daughter!" Rose freezed in shock but quickly recovered and played it smoothly. "I'm glad to be back." Rose said as she gently patted her back. Sora was in complete shock to what she just heard but couldn't ask any questions as words would not come out of her mouth. Once Shinju calmed down she let go of Rose and wiped away her tears.
She looked at Sora and said, "Sora I know you have questions but I can't answer right now. Don't worry though since I will tell you later. It would mean a lot if you don't tell anyone else." Sora agreed and left. Shinju looked at Rose again and said happily, "My , you grew up so beautifully. "
Rose answered, "You are still as beautiful as I remember Mrs. Mishima." Shinju pouted and started walking away Rose followed her with her bags. Shinju said, "You shouldn't refer to your mother like that." Rose sighed, "Mrs. Mishima I already have a mother." Shinju interrupted, "So, who said you have to have only one mother." Shinju in a serious voice said, "Rose we know that you are an orphan." Rose was surprised. Shinju continued, "Don't get me wrong you hid it pretty well. In fact we didn't figure it out til after the first year we knew you. All those excuses about not being able to see your parents started to make sense. "
Rose exhaled and spoke, "That kind of explains why y'all kept trying to make me join your pack." Shinju nodded. "Rose do you remember what we said before you left." Rose nodded. "We truly meant it. Even though we only knew you for a short time we had already accepted you as our daughter. " Rose was about to say something when Shinju stopped her, "Besides you have no say so. As Luna my word is final and before you even ask yes My husband, The Alpha, would also agree. If you try to deny it we have papers that you signed that states we adopted you. " Rose stopped walking , "What papers? I didn't signed any-" Rose stopped talking as she saw Shinju mischievous smile and she remembered a specific memory where she did signed her name on a piece of paper. "You tricked me!" Rose said in disbelief. Shinju laughed. Rose continued, "This doesn't mean I'll join your pack." Shinju just smiled and said, "That's fine." Rose sighed in defeat as there was no point in arguing with her. They continued walking until they are standing in front of Shinju's house.
