Chapter 20: Joy and Regret

Nandito na ako sa kotse ni Bluve, kanina lang kami umalis at mag-10 minutes pa lang sa byahe.
Naka-upo ako sa pinaka-gilid. Hindi ko nga alam kung bakit pero nandito ako.
Nakikita ko ang mga nadadaanan naming bahay, pamilyar sa akin to lahat.
Nadadaanan ko rin ito nung ako pa lamang mag isa ang se-skwela sa highfalls.
I looked over my friends and I saw most if them sleeping, and most are just tapping on their phones.
Bluve on the otherhand is driving, I didn't actually understand people underage would drive.
But oh well.
Drive drive lang naman si Bluve at ako ay tumitingin-tingin sa senaryo sa labas nang madaanan namin ang isang police station at hindi lang police station ang nasagip ng mata ko.
Hindi ito isang normal kasi sa tingin ko ay nakita ko si Papa na nandoon sa loob.
Pero sa sobrang bilis magpatakbo ng sasakyan si Bluve at hindi ko na tuluyang alam kung anong nangyayari doon sa pulis station.

"Finally! Tapos na ang first day of school! Nakakapagod talaga!" Sigaw ni Hushy sabay unat ng mga kamay.
"Ayoko nang luminya para mag pa sign up sa club!" Reklamo rin ni Chloe.
"Ako rin! Ayoko na mag-auditions! Hindi ka man lang rin matatanggap!"
Sabi ni Hushy sabay tingin kay Sergio, napalunok lang naman ng laway si Sergio.
"Hindi na nga uulitin." Mahinang sabi ni Sergio.
Napa-nguso nalang si Hushy.
"Okay, guys. I want you all to gather in the living room, we'll have a meeting." Utos Ni Bluve na naririnig namin ang Boses galing kusina.
"Agad agad? Di pwedeng magpahinga lang muna?" Pagrereklamo ni Emerald na nasa likod ko.
"Hindi, kung ayaw mo ay pack up your things and umalis ka na." Bluve voice is still evident.
"Hala! Grabe! Huwag mo namang ganyanin si Emerald, halika Em." Pagdedepensa ni Alpha habang hinihila na si Emerald papunta sa living room.
Dumiretso nalang ako doon at doon ko lang rin napagtanto na kasabay ko sa likod ko si Phoebe.
Isinabit niya lang ang kanyang braso sa aking balikat habang naglalakad kami, at nang makaratin na kami ay umupo narin kami.
"Ehem. So guys, meron ba talaga kayong na-pansin na presensyia?" Tanong ni Bluve.
Tinignan ko naman silang lahat at doon ko rin namang nakikita ko na walang isa na nag taas kamay o tumango man lang.
Ako din. It's kinda weird kasi si alam ko talagang may presensiya ang school but nang dumating yung ibang peculiars ay bigla-bugla rin namang nawala ang presensiya ng parang bula.
It's hard to believe.
"So I guess, we'll just test out our luck tommorow." Bluve said.
As he gestured na i-dismiss na kami. Napatayo naman kami at dumiretso sa sariling mga gawain.

Chloe's P.O.V
Nang maka-akyat na sana ako sa hagdan ay bigla-bigla nalang may humila sa aking kamay.
Napatingin naman ako doon at nakita ko si Bluve.
Nakatingin lang sa akin.
"Yes? What is it?" Tanong ko.
Napaiwas nalang siya ng tingin.
At matapos nun ay bigla naalang siyang napalunok mg laway.
"N-nothing...I just felt an urge to call you.." ani niya at parang natulala sa sahig.
Uhh he is acting strange but okay, aalis nalang ako sa harapan niya.
Dumiretso nalang ako paakyat nang bigla ulit niya ako tawagin.
"Chloe, maaga pa so
let's hang out for a while?" He asked.
I looked back and saw him staring back at me with those blue eyes of his.
If I was a normal girl, I would actually have a chance to like him because of how attractive he looks but, right now after all these powers.
I might need someone to talk to, and maybe to hang out for a relief.
"Sure." I answered as bumaba ulit naman ako sa hagdan.
"But where?" Tanong ko sa kanya.
Napa-nguti lamang siya at tumingin sa akin ng parang nakakaloka.
"Get in the car." He ordered.
...
"Asan ba talaga tayo pupunta?" Naghihinalamg tanong ko ngayon kay Bluve.
Nakangiti lang siya ng parang natatawa at wala naman siyang sinagot.
Napa-nguso naman ako at tumingin nalang sa mirror.
As the unfamiliar buildings kept passing through I didn't even notice how beautiful it is.
Well, but to be honest ay nangagati na talagang tumayo ang pwet ko kaya tulong.
Napapatingin nalang ako sa building.
"We're almost there." Bluve said.
I rolled my eyes. Kanina niya pa yan sinasabi at ngayon ay mag wa-one hour na ang byahe.
Teka nga lang, may driver's license ba si Bluve?
He's freaking 15 for pete's sake!
Asan na kaya ang magulang niya. Ka-careless ba at pinapabayaan ang anak mag lakwatsa.
Mga bata ba naman ngayon. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
Then I could feel the car stopped.
I looked up and saw a huge dashing Ferris Wheel reflecting in the sunset.
Napa-tingin naman ako kay Bluve na malaki ang ngiti, hindi naman niya ako napapansin kasi inaa-tupag niya ang pag-parking sa sasakyan.
"Sabay tayo sakay ng Ferris Wheel!" I requested.
He just nodded with a smile plastered on his face.
Matapos nung pag park ay napa-tingin naman siya sa akin.
He was looking at me at napa-ngiti nang nakita ang masaya kong ekspresyon.
"We're here. Let's have fun while we still can." He said.
I nodded at aakmang tatangalin ko na talaga ang seat belt ko nang himawakan ni Bluve ang kamay ko.
Napatingin naman ako doon.
"Dapat naka-ganito tayo mamaya kasi baka mawala ka." Walang halong malisya niyang saad.
Napa-tango ako and fir yhe second time na tatangalin ki na ang seatbelt ko ay may bigla nalang...
"BULAGA!"
Nagulat ako na napatingin sa likod at nakita ko naman si Sky.
How in the world did she get in here?
Si Bluve rin naman ay gulat na gulat pero bigla niya namang na-adjust ang sarili niya.
"Sky?" Bluve composed himself while asking.
"Yes it's me my dearest friend." Pag-kukumpirma ni Sky.
"What are you doing—"
But before Bluve could finish his sentence, Sky cut him off.
"Akala niyo ba na maiiwan niyo ako kasama yung mga magulong peculiar sa bahay?! At alam kong tumatakas kayo sa kaguluhan nila! Alam ko ring aalis kayo kasi pag naiwan ako ay jusme!! Alam niyo ba na sa sobrang gulo ng bahay ay pwede na tong bansagang Human Jungle!" Naiinis niyang tanong na may halong eksplenasyon.
Napatahimik lang ng sandali si Bluve at nagsimula ulit magsalita.
"Great. Now we can all go to the amusement park." He said as letting go of my hand at lumabas na ng kotse.
"Cool!" Sky exclaimed as she got off the car as well.
My eyes narrowed.
Why does my hand feel so....
Empty?
I shrugged the thought off and tinanggal na ang seat belt at lumabas sa kotse.
I saw Bluve facing me but there's no single hint of emotion evident on his face.
He looks cold, and pale and emotionless.
"Bluve, is something wrong?" I asked.
Napatingin naman siya sa akin at biglang ngumiti.
"Yes, I'm fine. Now, let's go."
Ani neto at bigla nalang naunang naglakad.
Sumunod naman si Sky kay Bluve kaya ko sinundan nalang si Sky.
Nang makapasok na kami sa Carnival ay napa-tingin naman ako kay Sky na sobrang lapad ng ngiti.
Parang-first time niya pang makapunta sa isang amusement park.
Bigla nalang siya napagawak sa jacket ni Bluve, napatingin naman si Bluve sa kanya.
Malapad ang ngiti ni Sky at halata talagang masaya siya.
Its's like the first time in my entire life seeing someone happy because of something so common.
Hindi ko alam kung anong nanyayari at bigla nalang napangiti si Bluve ng nakita niya yung malapad na ngiti ni sky.
"Hey, Bluve."
Sky called him.
"Yes?" Tanong ni Bluve.
"Can we ride that one?" She asked sabay may tinuro.
Napa-tingin naman kami ni Bluve sa tinuro niya at doon ko nakita na iyon yung Ferris wheel.
Napatingin ako kay Bluve at nakita ko naman lang na napa-tingin siya kay Sky na parang nababaguhan.
"Ano? Sakay tayo?" Tanong ni Sky.
"Yeah." Bluve said as If I wasn't on their back.
He quickly then grabbed Sky's Hand and ran towards the Ferris Wheel.
But I thought ako ang kasama niyang sasakay doon...
I composed myself at sumunod nalanag ako sa kanila.
....
Nanidito kami sa Ferris Wheel at magkatabi si Bluve at si Sky.
Nandito naman ako sa harapan nila.
Malaki ang ngiti ni Sky at para bang aliw na aliw sa sinasakyan.
I just shrugged it off at tumingin nalang din sa harapan and I saw Bluve smiling while looking at her—Sky.
"It's nice right here." Sabi ni Sky.
"That is true." Bluve confirmed.
By this moment, I don't even know why I was speechless. No words came out of my mouth, The only thing I was witnessing was Sky and Bluve chatting and smiling in front of me.
And trust me, they couldn't be any happier.
My body wasn't moving at all and it looks like time has been ticking slowly and I couldn't wish anything for time but to end this moment quickly.
I tried closing eyes and Praying this to end quickly.
This is suppose to get me out of stress!
Ugh, what am I thinking?
Matapos nun ay bigla nalang huminto ang Ferris Wheel.
At doon ko na napagtanto na tapos na.
"Was It fun?" Bluve asked Sky.
"It couldn't be any better."
Sky replied with a the biggest grin I saw in her face.
Nang inopen na yung mini door ng Ferris Wheel ay bigla bigla nalang hinablot ni Bluve ang kamay ni Sky.
I was stunned.
But I kept on following them.
Sky on the otherhand shows the shock evident on her face but still managed to cope up with Bluve.
"Asan tayo pupunta?" Sky asked.
Bluve did not mention anything but let her hand go.
What did I feel kinda relieved?
"Wait right here." He ordered.
Naglakad siya papalayo at matapos nun ay naka tayo lang talaga si Sky na naghihintay.
Tinapik ko naman si Sky.
"Sky...May gusto ka ba kay Bluve?" Mahina kong tanong. Ha? Chloe? Why blurt all of the sudden?
Napatingin naman siya sa akin at bigla namang natawa.
"Hahahaha. Ano ba naman yang iniisip mo." Tawa niya habang hawak hawak ang tyan.
"Nakakatawa ka naman." She said while pointing at me.
"But, Sky. Seriously... answer me." I told her.
She then paused for awhile.
Her face was blank for a moment and then she looked at me and replied at the very moment.
"Yes, Chloe. I like him."
My face dropped because of her serious confession.
"You can't be serious.." I said as I pointed my index finger at her, No. Not at Bluve.
"Sky, what a funny joke."
I laughed and tried to calm down, this got me.
"Sky, that's so funny. You almost got me there." I said while supressing my laughter.
"That's the truth, Chloe." Sky said.
I then stopped as I saw how serious her face was.
"No kidding?" I asked once again.
She just nodded her head.
"What—? I mean what do you even like about him? He's just...Like us! He isn't going to get you a normal life somehow!" I exclaimed.
"If he's with you then, is he gonna give you a normal life?" Sky asked.
I was also confused on the way I act. It's just too hard to take in.
Why am I even acting like this?
"Why, Chloe? Do you like him?" Sky asked.
Then after hearing these words ay napatingin ako sa kanya bigla.
"N-no, I don't think so." I answered while stuttering.
"Then why are you over-reacting?" She asked.
"I don't know...It feels so wrong for you to like him." I answered her honestly but before she anything else, she cut me off.
"If you like him then We must compete fairly." She said.
Sky wasn't giving me a death glare or a mean one, She just looks serious. And I might have an idea that worry and fear came to her mind.
"Fine—But I'm telling you Sky, I don't like him." I assured.
She just then gave me a friendly smile and I gave her a forced one.
Wow, Chloe. Ganyan ka ba naman ka plastic?
Natutunan mo ba yan sa ate mo?
I shrugged my thoughts off when I heard Bluve calling out on Sky's name.
"Sky! Here!" Bluve said as he was handing something to Sky.
It was A pretty purple cotton candy.
I was saddened by the thought that Bluve didn't brought one for me.
But I just followed them.
"Asan na tayo pupunta?" Sky asked.
"Pauwi na." Bluve answered.
"Okay." Sky happily exclaimed.
I was walking with them in front of me chit-chatting while I was looking at the beautiful amusement park.
It was dark but I knew that this is a picture I couldn't get out of my mind.
Hanggang sa may nabangga ako.
"Ouch!" I screamed.
"Sorry, miss. Are you okay?" I looked up and saw a boy.
Even though it's dark, there is still enough light para ma-mukhaan ko siya.
"Yes I'm fine." I answered him while touching my head.
Sa ulo ako nabunggo eh.
I looked up at the guy and I could say that he is tall.
I could tell that he have his eyes color royal purple and his hair colored is Maroon, his animalia is a bird.
His wings are dark shaded and probably on the hint of black, he is wearing a Highfalls Academy Uniform.
"You're a Student from H.A?" I asked.
He nodded and smiled.
He have an olive white skin and I am getting a harmless vibe from him, He looks pretty attractive when you put it all together.
He is some sort of a dark loner vibe to the point that his attractiveness matters.
To the point na meron na siyang mapatay na milyon at mapapatawad mo parin siya.
Like a Cute cinnamon bun!
"Are you alright? You're spacing out." Tanong niya.
"I'm fine, don't worry." I said.
"I'm Chloe, by the way. And you are?" Pagpapakilala ko at I asked him as well.
"Shadow." He replied.
I look a deeper view of him to see of his animalia as a Crow.
"Reasonable." I answered.
"Sorry, by the way. To make it up to you, here." He said and handed me something.
Tinaggap ko naman ito to see that it is..
A cotton candy.
I looked up to see and thank him.
"Thank you." Pagpapasalamat ko.
"No problem, now I need to go back to my friends." He said while pointing two people on his back.
Isa sa mga napansin ko ay yung isa ay naka-headset at yung isa naman ay parang sumasayaw sa beat ng music sa Amusement Speakers.
"Those two are my group, the Cyan colred hair girl with blue eyes is Marzia and then the Boy with Blonde hair and Brown Eyes is Jb." He introduced.
"Okay," I said.
"Okay, pupunta na talaga ako sa kanila, bye." Pagpapa-alam niya.
I then nodded and forgot that I was actually following Sky and Bluve.
I ran back and saw them waiting on the parking lot.
Pagpasok ko sa passenger's seat ay nakita ko na nakatulog sa backseat si Sky. Napatawa naman ako sa nakita ko.
"Ang tagal mo." Pagrereklamo ni Bluve.
"Sorry, na." I apologized.
I fasten my seatbelt and then Bluve Fasten his.
Then doon ko lang napansin na hindi pa gumagalaw ang sasakyan.
"Ba't hindi pa gumagalaw ang sasakyan?" I asked Bluve.
Napa-ubo naman siya at tumingin sa akin.
"Throw that cotton candy away." He ordered and opened my window.
"Huh? Bakit? Sayang naman." Pagrereklamo ko.
"Just do it." He ordered, I rolled my eyes at sinunod nalang ang gusto ng hari.
Sayang naman ang cotton candy.
Napa-ubo naman siya at sinarado ang bintana ko.
"Here." He said as he handed me something.
I looked at what it is and laughed at what I saw.
A rainbow cotton candy, how cute.
I looked and Bluve and saw that he is already driving off looking at the road.
How funny, Bluve.
