Bab 5: I've Got A Crush On You

I DID go straight to the location where they were filming, it was just across the house.
It was exactly my sister Shane's scene that they were filming so I sat down in front of her to watch. My whole attention was focused on her so I didn't notice anyone sitting next to me.
It took only two takes before the director called for a cut. My sister is really good in her craft, her lines are too long but she did great. No wonder she became the teen best actress in the previous film festival.
When she finished her scene, she got back to her chair and then I approached her.
"Do you still have a scene to film?" I asked my sister.
" Why baby sis? " she asked curiously.
" I would just go to the back of this yard to take pictures. I saw a long bench under the tree in the backyard. " I said.
"Okay but don't go out in the yard right? Just go where we can see you from here." she requested.
" Yes, It's just there. "I said once again as I pointed the tree in the backyard.
" Okay, take care baby sis. " she said kissing my cheek.
I just nodded and walked my way to the backyard.
While walking I take pictures of the beautiful views with my camera that is hanging on my neck. Good thing, the weather is nice today, it's not too cold, the temperature is right even without wearing a mid day jacket.
When I felt my feet were getting numb, I sat down on a long wooden bench under the tree.I silently gazed at the blue sky.
To avoid being bored, I put my earphones in my ears and played music from my cellphone. I feel like I'm sleepy as I heard the songs on my playlist. To keep myself from falling asleep, I sang along with the music on my cellphone.
After a whiIe, I felt someone sitting next to me. I was dumbfounded when I saw who it was. Is he annoying me? He already knew I was ashamed of what I had done before and now he came here to me? Didn't he notice it earlier or he was just playing tricks on me ?
I was so silent the whole time. Minutes passed and we are just staring at each other when he was the one who broke the silence.
"You have a nice voice baby, why don't you try to audition for talent search on tv?" he asked.
It was so good to hear the word "baby" from him. That's what they all call me but why does it seem so strange now that he said it? Hearing his voice calling me "baby" weakened me a little.
Just calm down Aira you might be embarrassed again by that.
I pulled out my earphones and faced him. I held my voice so I couldn't feel nervous in front of him.
" Not at all, and one more thing, you know that I don't like showbusiness , I'm not interested. " I replied.
"Yes, but it's in your blood so why not follow their footsteps? And besides you have talents. I've seen you act in school plays, I've heard you sing and play musical instruments. It'll just come to waste if you don't use them." he said.
"Well thanks to you for teaching me play musical instruments, yes, maybe I have talents but that's not the reason for me to go into showbusiness.Not everyone wants the same thing. You, why do you like to be an actor? " I asked.
"Uhm, I have no choice but to follow their footsteps.At first, I don't like it but I'm used to it now and I only accept short roles because I don't want to affect my studies. My priority is my education." he said and I just nodded. I don't know that.
"I see. But why I haven't seen you lately? Did you filmed a movie?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Yes, I'm done filming.The commercial is also over, that's the reason why I haven't been in your house lately.I was forced to accept the role here now because I'm doing a lot of school works because of my previous movie.So my aunt just pushed me to accept the role here for it was just short, " he explained.
I remained silent. I couldn't say anything.I felt like the moment was awkward because of what happened earlier.I don't even know why my heart was pounding so hard right now.We used to talk like this before but I never ever felt this way. It's so strange now.
"Anyway, why are you here, don't you watch your sister filming? I know this is your first time, so why is that? he asked again and then he smiled, a very cute smile.
Oh my! I might die of heart attack because of so much thrill with this guy! What happened to me? Why is just a simple smile from him can make me lost my consciousness?
" Her next scene will be film later this afternoon. You know that I don't like those things, it's not my thing. "I said as I shrugged.
"So when it's my turn to film my scenes, you will not watch?" he asked me and arched his brows.
" Hey, I'll watch you of course. I don't want you to accused me of being a bad friend. " I vent out and rolled my eyes on him.
He just laughed at me.
Because he knows my dislike for the profession he and my sister are involved in. Now that I thought about it, maybe what I am feeling for him right now can cause trouble with my perspective.The difficulty is, I want to stop whatever it is I'm feeling that I can't even name while it's just starting out because I know it's hard.
It's just that. He is an actor!
I looked at him and smiled broadly, a kind of smile that feels like I'm allowing myself to watch him film later.
" So, will you watch me film later? " he repeatedly asked.
" Yeah, I will. "
He took my hand and squeezed it slightly.I was surprised when he didn't released it, but instead he pulled me out of that place.
"Where are we going? Maybe my sister would worry if she didn't see me. " I asked worriedly.
" Don't worry I told her I would follow you here. " he answered.
"What? Why'd you do that? Well, she agreed?" I asked.
"Why not? We used to be with each other even just the two of us. So she agreed, she knows that you're in good hands." he smiled and winked at me.
" Alright, let's just get back too soon. " I said then we walked around the back yard.
We walk side by side as we capture the beautiful views with the camera I'm holding. There is a large field at the back yard with some grass-fed animals.
After a long walk, I'm already dead tired. I asked Gelo to go back to the bench under the tree. And he gladly obliged.
I was surprised when he came in front of me and bent down.
"Come on Aira, ride my back, I know you're tired already." he offered me.
I was worried because I might be heavy.It's a shame, of course, he's still an actor, but then my feet just hurt.
He turned to me again.
" Come on, it's getting late." he commanded.
So even with so much hesitation, I was forced to take his back. It was awkward.
When we arrived, he slowly dropped me off the bench. As soon as he made sure that I was well seated, he sat down beside me. He's still a bit panting. Oh my, its pitiful.
I looked up at him and smiled, a bit shy.
" It's your fault, you know that I'm heavy." I said then pout my lips.
" You are not heavy, we are just a long way off. " he replied and I was so surprised when he removed some strands of hair from my face and placed it behind my ear.
This guy is giving me a heart attack. I'm going to blame this guy for being so sweet. It feels like my admiration for him increases.
There, I have named now how I felt about him. He was probably my first crush. I was crushing him for sure.
But, why is your heart pounding so fast at that simple gesture?
Why can't it be? It's just a crush.
Duh! we are young!
I looked at him as he grabbed my hand and played with my fingers.
"You know what Aira ..."
" What is it Gelo? " I asked nervously.
" Shanaia Aira Gallardo. I think I've got a crush you. " he said seriously as he looked straight in my eyes.
What?!!!
