Soon, all the demonic black lightning clouds receded back into Ling Lei's body as though it has never appeared in the first place. It was as if it was all in illusion, a bad dream.

However, the damage left by the demonic black lightning cloud proved them otherwise as it was still visible for them to see.

All the once green lands of the earth were no more than ash and charcoal. The air was heavy with the smell of burnt flesh.

The ground was littered with the corpses of the Yan Imperial soldiers. They all died in the most agonizing and excruciating way.

Their clothes were completely burnt up and their bodies burnt black like overcook meats. Some of the dead bodies even had smoke coming out of them.

Some were already turned into ashes and blown away by the gentle breeze. There was nothing left of them in this world.

At this moment, the entire area fell into an absolute stillness. Not a sound could be heard either close at hand or in the far off distance.
