CHAPTER 20
"SO ITINATAGO MO SIYA?"
Iyon ang bungad na tanong sakaniya ng kaibigan niya, he just tell them the problem he was into right now about his relatives na halos hindi niya alam paano aasikasuhin bilang wala naman siyang alam paano niya aayusina ang magulong buhay na kasama ang relatives niya then this molina na so called cousin niya kahit na wala naman itong isang patak ng dugo na pagiging bourne. What's worse when his uncle suddenly step inside the house?
Sila Heil talaga naisip niyang mapagsasabihan niya, kahit naman walang kwenta kausap ay mapagta-tyagaan kahit na pa-paano mga sasabihin nila.
Bourne. He's a living son of Miguel Bourne.
Hindi niya alam bakit hanggang ngayon ay hinahabol parin siya ng pamilyang matagal na niya tinalikuran, bourne? He never wanted them ever again. But this uncles he had keep coming back to get what they want— for decades they never stop. Kaya hindi na siya magtataka na malaman isa sa pamilya niya may kasalanan why his parents died.
Maybe one of them ask someone to snipe his parents. Maybe? That's not that impossible, masyado silang naiinggit at gahaman sa pagaakalang makukuha nila ang kayamanan ng mga magulang niya? Never. He never wanted to give to one of them. It was for him, his lost brother and also to his future family to be exact.
"You're out of your mind, migo." Sambit naman ni Pollux sakaniya. Mabuti nalang wala itong trabaho ngayon kaya naman heto naiistorbo niya ang mga kaibigan niya sa tamang oras. "You can't do that."
Pollux keep yelling. "Whatever you do, malalaman parin naman ng uncle mo na may girlfriend ka. Ano bang dahilan para itago mo si Vera sakanila? Hindi ba, Molina already knew she was here? What's worse if your uncle find out about that huh?"
"Do you even listen to me, Pollux? Kapag nalaman nila ang tungkol kay Vera baka anong gawin nila. You know them like how I knew them, right? They will destroy everything to get what they wanted! And what they want is my money, never ko naisip ibigay sakanila ni-singko sa kayamanan na meron ako."
He's mad. "But do you even consider the feeling of Vera? What she felt for being hidden by her own boyfriend? You hate them, yeah! But be considerate about her feelings to. She may hurt because you told her you want to keep her. Maybe at first she understand how about now? Its been what, two days since molina show up. What's worse when your uncle came and ask you about her? Maybe he knew that already. Moline is his fucking step-niece, right?"
"True. Even we are a fucking asshole to fuck a fucking hoe every night and even we share a same hoe. We do know woman when they're hurt, knowing vera. She seems nice but also a part of her is broken and hurt because you want her hidden. What? When your uncle came you two would be in a separate set up? Dude! She's a fucking woman."
He shrugged. "What would I do?"
Pare-parehas na napa-facepalm ang tatlo kaya napa-kibit balikat siya. "Pambihira naman, Migo!"
"God our innocent friend, you have to make up things with her. Is she like being irritated with you this passed few days? Maybe she's already pissed because you don't bring her out because you're scared of being caught? Migo, make up with her not make out— stop being jackass and talk to her."
Ano naman ang alam niya sa ganuon? They never had this thing before. "If she told you its okay. Look at her eyes and you'll see if it's real or not. Believe me, I have been encounter a woman like that."
Tumingin siya kay Pollux. "Hindi ba Surgeon ka hindi Psychologist?" Tanong niya sa kaibigan at inirapan lang siya kaya naman natawa siya sa ginawa nito.
"But dude, you still have to make up with your girlfriend. Women doesn't like being hidden what they want is their boyfriend to be proud of them. Do you understand what I'm talking about? Migo?"
Marahan siyang tumango, naintindihan naman niya ang sinasabi nito. "Make up, Migo. Not Make Out. Baka mamaya makalimutan mo tas hubaran mo yung girlfriend mo. Alam naming Virgin ka noon pero hindi ka inosente. Sa lahat ng Virgin ikaw yung maraming alam." Tumaas kilay niya.
"Kasalalan ko bang pinsan at kaibigan ko, expert sa sex kaya pati ako nahahawa? Virgin still a man who had needs, Heil. I'm a man you dumbass."
Umiling siya. "What about Molina, you have need to solve that slut problem you have or you can give it to us. We want some fresh sex." Kindat ni Heil.
"Actually? I don't care If you fuck her."
"Oh. That's nice, I can fuck her then."
A boys like them is a normal to talk about to fuck a woman, a sex topic— pare-parehas silang lalake minsan hindi rin siya kumportable Heil and Heaven had a thing to share a woman, that's like a fetish.

It's heaven. "You're plan is proposing. Aren't you?"
Tumango siya. "I want to make it special, I want her to know my love for her and doing this for tonight."
Kinuha niya ang singsing mula kay Heaven. "I got this from my cousin who owns a jewelry shop. Havva, do you remember my cousin?"
"Havva? You mean, that sexy model body woman? That Havva, Havva Green?" Tanong naman ni Heil.
Why are they even interested with her? That's my cousin, they cannot hook up with Havva!
Umakbay si Heil sakaniya, "Sexy parin ba?" Tanong nito sakaniya. "Saan yung shop niya?" He asked.
Sinamaan niya agad ng tingin ang kaibigan niya sa sinabi nito. "Heil! You don't hook up with Havva, subok-subukan mo talaga humanda ka sakin." Giit na sambit naman niya. "What? She's pretty."
"Yeah. And she's too pretty for you man, look! You can't hook up with a savage like her, she's going to burn you and believe me. She's taken so go away."
Pollux chuckled. "Right. You always hook up with pretty girls and womanise them. You know that's rude even for you right? Woman follows you because you are a fucking womaniser dude. Get over that part. Try to hook up with some other hoes."
"Shut up! Palibhasa kasi torpe ka hindi ka maka-score jan sa babae mo. That ob-gyne doctor that I remember you like. What's her name again?"
Heil smirks. "I remember! Her name is Donna, Donna Kane. Am i right? That's her name."
"Donna? Is that the ob-gyne you called for Vera before. That's her, Am I right? So. Siya pala ang babaeng nagugustuhan mo? I knew you two have something but I didn't realise sooner na ikaw ang may gusto and she didn't know about that."
He rolled her eyes. "Don't bother about my lovelife or my sex life. Technically, It's completely nothing."
Then bumaling ito sakaniya.
"Where is she?" Tanong ni Pollux, hinatid niya kanina si Vera sa kumpaniya ng publisher ng mga libro nito. Probably she's still there. "Sa publisher lang niya, may inaasikaso daw for the release of her new book. Maybe she's still there right now?"
Gusto niya pa sana tanungin kung bakit nito natanong kung nasaan nga ba si Vera ngayon.
He thinks alam na niya ang rason. "Let's do it, saan mo ba balak gawin ang surprise dinner? So I can help, as a friend of yours. We should help you."
"You'll help me?"
Tila hindi pa siya makapaniwala. "Yeah. What's friends are for right? And besides, this is your first time to propose or to prepare a dinner for a woman. We should really help you as a friend. We want your date to he successful and so you can make up with her. About this hiding her issue thing you have."
Halos mabuga ni Heil ang iniinom na tumingin kay Pollux at sa sinabi na di kapani-paniwala. "Woah. Woah. Pollux, the fuck happened to you?"
He raised his middle finger. "Fuck you. I'm being a nice friend you, mother fucker!" Inis na puna nito.
Tumawa ang dalawa. Napailing siya na tinignan si Pollux. "I just want a dinner at the pool." Aniya, a dinner at the pool would make her feel so romantic. Girls usually like a very wonderful view at dinner.
"Ayaw mo sa garden?" Si Heaven. Tinignan niya lang ito ng kamay sakaniya. "Okay. Pool, Sure."
He all want to prepare everything kaya naman malaking tulong na may kaibigan siya na tinutulungan siya ngayon, they all fix and set the dinner table— mamaya siya ang maghahanda ng pagkain and he will assign allen to do that nasa pool side sila and this dinner will be so romantic for the both of them and besides. Gusto niya naman na bumawi sa girlfriend niya for a mean time.
VERA's busy today and working for the new book inaasikaso niya ang paga-ayos ng mga typo at grammars sa story niya to it will be all done to revision at maipasa na niya. She's in the company working today, her publisher do take care of her every time lalo na isa kasi siya sa mga successor nila kaya siguro maalaga sila sakaniya. Also that, the company called her for something she didn't know what hindi pa naamn nasasabi sakaniya siguro ay iniintay siya matapos bago masabi. The message says, may importanteng sasabihin aside of the new book na irerelease sakaniya. She doesn't know.
Nagkibit balikat siya then suddenly Migo sent a messages saying, 'don't go home to my house, I'll be fetching you for dinner. Text me.' Nagtaka siya bakit ayaw siya papuntahan sa bahay nito. Anong problema? Then something went into her mind.
She just gasped in air thinking the idea why is he texting those words. Is he planing to surprise me?
Men does that and he never fails to tell her in different way that he had surprise for her. Kung ano 'man ang surpresa ni Migo tiyak siyang ikatutuwa naman niya iyon. He is always a romantic one.
Hindi nalang siya nag reply. Maybe she'll be home before dinner. Kaya may time pa naman siya na may ayos ng sarili, she can sense the dinner all over and a surprise maybe he prepared at home? That's nice.
He's always been romantic for her.
"Ms. Stacy, meryenda muna tayo?" Pagaaya ng isang staff kasama ang ilan na nagaaya sakaniya na kumain. "Oo nga Ms. Stacy kaina ka pa nag tatrabaho, kumain ka muna. Sama ka samin?"
Ngumiti siya. "Sige susunod ako, isasave ko lang 'to then lalabas narin ako." Tumango ang mga ito at sinave niya lang ang files tska umalis bitbit ang bag niya at pinuntahan ang ibang kasama sa trabaho pars saluhan sa meryenda. Kumakain sila sa isang street food vendor sa labas malapit lang at kumakain ng mga fishballs at iba pa. Hindi narin siya nakaka-kain nito kaya naman masaya siya ngayon.
"Ms. Stacy—"
"Please, call me Vera."
Hindi siya kumportable na ang tawag sakaniya ay Ms. Vera. Mas gusto niya pa na hindi sila pormal na para bang barkada sila. Simpleng babae lang naman rin siya and she doesn't need to be treat like that she's higher. Because technically. She's not like that. She's simple, she's just simple as Vera Stacy.
What she just want is not and never called with highly respect na tila nakatataas na tao siya. In that company and for her? Pantay pantay lang sila. Same humans who just work for other people to feed on family and theirselves. That's all she was.
Ngumiti ang mga ito sakaniya at tila bigla rin nahiya sakaniya. "Hindi ba may boyfriend ka?" Iyon ang tanong ng isa sakaniya. Well, hindi niya alam paano nila nalaman about sakaniya at sa pagakakroon niya ng boyfriend pero siguro through social media narin.
"Yeah."
Tumango siya. "Nakita lang namin kay Ms. Taffy. Gwapo ang boyfriend mo." Puri nito.
"Salamat, hindi rin naman ako mahihiyang sabihin at proud na proud naman ako na may boyfriend akong katulad niya kahit na iba ang estado namin sa buhay. I'm not that rich samantalang siya, Filthy rich. Mayaman. We have nothing in common."
Maybe they didn't know, about her lover. "I'm proud to say that my boyfriend is the owner of Bourne Enterprises. Nasa-sainyo na kung maniniwala kayo o hindi, but he is the son of Bourne."
"Si migo bourne ang boyfriend mo?" Pabulong na tanong nito. Mahina siyang tumawa at tumango sa mga ito. "Ang swerte mo naman."
Lucky? Yeah. She is so lucky to have a boyfriend like him. Iba si Migo sa lahat ng ibang lalake, Migo is far different from her ex. She never felt this love and care. Yung paga-alaga ni migo sakaniya hindi niya naramdaman kailanman kay Rois.
Kaya thankful siya na napunta sa buhay niya si Migo and migo doesn't either deserve anyone like Yuri who uses him to get rois? To be close with rois.
Pathetic. Yeah. She can tell, she more deserve him than anyone else who give him pain.
"Paano kayo nagkakilala?" Interesado talaga sila na malaman iyon kaya naman habang nagkalakad at kumakain at nagkwento siya na sana naintindihan nila ng maayos. But the one spoke in shock. "You.."
Uniling siya agad na tila pagkakaintindi ay siya ang umagaw, kaya nilinaw niya agad. "Hindi. Hindi ako kailanman naging kontrabida sa dati kong kaibigan. It was her fault. Inagaw niya si Rois sa akin then migo came to help me until I fell inlove with him. Iyon ang ngyari." Paliwang naman niya agad dito.
"Grabe naman yung kaibigan mo, wala bang nagmamahal sakaniya pati boyfriend ng iba aagawin niya?" Tanong nito na ikinatawa niya.
It was always a question through her mind. Pero sa tuwing naisip niya naging dahilan nitong nauna siyang mag mahal kay Rois. It's just a useless, she doesn't mind bothering those two. Wala naman siyang makukuhang sagot na kahit na anong gawin niya? Wala talaga. She's just maybe a bitch. She don't even had a sincere sorry in what she did to her.
"Hindi ko na alam, ayoko narin isipin limang bwan na nakalipas. Naka-move on narin naman ako mula sakanila. They are just pieces from the past that I throw away." Totoo naman, that's what she does.
She walks in and return to her work.
Halos anong maaga niya na natapos ang trabaho when she was called to the office may mahalaga daw na sasabihin sakaniya. She doesn't look haggard. Nahihiya siya na mag mukhang stress.
She knocked at ng patuluyin siya sa loob maayos siyang pumasok saan naroon ang 'boss' niya.
Her boss hand her something. "Exclusive Publishing CN is asking for you, they want to meet you and welcome the opportunity for you in Canada."
She doesn't know what to do, what to react. Masaya naman siya na may kumpaniya na kumukuha sakaniya pero to think of it, hindi siya handa para sa ganitong bagay hindi pa naman siya handa para magkaron at pumunta ng canada para iwanan ang buhay niya dito sa pilipinas. Si migo, hindi niya kaya.
"You can think about it, nanjan ang email nila. When you're all ready. Message them. They will respond."
Ngumiti siya at tumango. "Thank you, I'll go ahead narin po. Salamat, pagiisipan ko na siguro muna." Ngumiti ang boss niya at siya naman lumabas na. Tila na lutang siya habang nasa labas nagiisip. Itinago niya nalang iyon sa bag niya then Migo came and beep, lutang siya hindi niya napansin si migo.
"Migo!" She called him out na makita itong lumabas ng sasakyan at niyakap niya naman ito agad. Namiss niya talaga ang boyfriend niya, he gently open the door for her then they left. "Ihatid mo muna ako sa condo, I want to change my clothes and fresh up. Okay lang ba sayo?" Tanong niya sa kasintahan.
Nahihiya siya sa suot niya at hindi maganda amoy niya kaya naman mas lalo naman siya nahihiya.
"Why do you even bother to change? I mean. Aalisin ko rin naman yan mamaya, just get naked."
Tumawa siya at hinampas ito. "Sometimes I like your mouth talking naughty but you're become bolder. Ewan ko sayo. You can't get me naked."
She winked then hinatid siya sa condo na magbihis. Simple lang ang suot niya just a dress then a simple shoes then her bag. Tska sila umalis at umuwi sa bahay nito, she can sense it already. Pinanatili siya nito sa labas kaya nagulat siya, ang dilim pa wala siyang makita kung ano ngyayari at anong meron?
"Ms. Vera." Si allen. Boses ni allen iyon na-aninag niya ang mukha ni Allen. "I shall, assist you."
Tumango lang siya na sumunod kay Allen, dinala siya sa pool side at iniwan siya 'ron. She was this shock seeing the set up at the pool from the table and romantic decorations. Ang ilaw nila ay ang kandila na nakapalibot sa pool kaya naman napangiti siya na makita kung gaano kaganda then there was him. Migo standing holding a bouquet of roses na iniabot nito agad sakaniya at tinanggap niya naman rin agad. Napangiti nalang siya.
"T–thank you."
She suddenly out of words. Hindi niya akalain na magagawa ito ni migo and just for her? This is so much of romantic, maybe allen or someone helped him pero this? This is so out of words and beautiful.
He do realises. She loves the part na ginawa niya sa pool. Pool had a very nice view and fresh air too.
"Uhm. Let's eat?" Pagalok nito. Napangiti siya at habang kumakain, It was silent that just broke by his words. Maybe he doesn't use to have a date like this kaya naman tahimik ito? "Love, about my relatives.."
Napatingin siya. "I.. I don't want to hide you from them. I felt this, you doesn't like that Idea of mine and I should ask you— I should be more proud because I all have you. Right? Sorry for saying those. I didn't mean to hurt you that way."
She want to laugh, pinigilan niya but He let the laugh out. "W-what's funny?" He asked innocently.
"Ikaw talaga. Who told you I think of being disappointed na itatago mo ako sa relatives mo? I'll guess this point It's your friends right?" Napailing nalang siya, maybe sila heil. "I don't. Yeah, Half of me got feel disappointed pero naisip ko rin naman na maybe you wanted to protect me and It doesn't matter since I don't want to meet them. Whatever you want to do? It's all fine with me. Threw your relatives out? It's your decision to make, love."
He smiled widely. After they finish their meal, just a few minutes tumayo si Migo then lumapit sakaniya.
"We aren't together as a couple for a few months. We met for a years already but we live at the same roof and realisation of the feelings just developed a few months this early. It's too early, I know but I don't want to lose you ever again. I don't want to let you go from me, I want you to be mine and I want us to be together.I only want to ask you one question.."
Mas ikinagulat niya ng lumuhod ito sa harapan niya kaya napatakip siya ng bibig. "Will you be my Mrs. Bourne? And will you accept my love for you, forever to exist to this world? Are you gonna accept me?"
Ilang segundo bago nag process sa utak niya before she nod. "Yes.. yes, yes, yes!" Masayang sambit niya at isinuot naman ni migo ang singsing sa daliri niya at masaya na humalik at yakap sa isa't isa.
She never felt this happiness before. She never felt how happy her heart to beat like it, yung masaya siya na may isang lalake na nagamamahal sakaniya na higit sa buong buhay niya hindi nag exist. Never a man love and wanted to have a life with her. But now? She's a lucky bitch that finally found a real love. A love with him that she want to live with.
I'm grateful and she's so happy. "I love you.." She whispered to his ear. "I love you too, love."
