CHAPTER 7
"MY NAME is Allen Seige. 23 years old and yes, I am trained as to fighting skills, combat karate, jitsu, martial arts and all that can protect myself and people close to me. they also allow and trained me to hack computers, gadgets, digital things whenever it needed. My grandfather, Alfred Seige trained me to be a butler that one day i could replace him now It is the time for me to replace him. I wasn't like my grandfather that could do and expert with alot of things but I do giving my promise to do my best for this job, I don't want to disappoint my grand father but as his grand child that he trained with my father, I will be open with possibilities like he taught me and he taught me to fight because you're family is not just a filthy rich but something else that hidden. I already know your family backgrounds, past, present, and the relationship you have that I should know. the mission you have with young miss, I will due honour my job so I could do all to help you, both of you."
yumuko ito sa kaniyang harapan, "Do you have all of the things you need? you can now put it on your room, It will be down stairs. alam mo naman siguro ang dating kwarto ng lolo mo, you can renovate and fix it so you won't complain that It smells old man. please go ahead, I have things to do." ngumiti ito sakaniya at bigla niya naman naalala si Vera.
"Wait, after you fix your room can you prepare a food for your young miss, she haven't eat since breakfast. I want her to eat something healthy, marunong ka naman siguro mag luto ng healthy foods? anything, basta healthy at para sana sa asawa ko, bring the food here after. ako na mag bibigay sakaniya, I just have to finish this."
tumango ito sakaniya, "Yes Master, I'll go ahead." paalam nitong lumabas ng opisina ng bahay niya at pumunta sa kwarto nito habang siya ay tinatapos ang kaniyang aasikasuhin, he has a lot of works na sa bahay niya nalang inaasikaso para matignan narin niya si Vera at mabantayan, narinig niya kanina kausap nito si Rois. Rois want to see her face but she doesn't want to, she just told him na soon at sa ngayon. her identity should be hidden, Yuri wouldn't even know who she was. baka nga, hindi nila siya makilala. sometimes, make up cleans and mess with everyone's eyes. hindi agad nakikilala.
like how he and yuri met, the other night.
he didn't tell her pero that night, nagkita sila ni Yuri with his mask off na hindi sinasadya hindi siya nakilala ni Yuri. which really a weird thing na parang interesado rin sakaniya si Yuri, hindi niya alam.
he lost her, kasama na siguro ni Rois si Vera ngayon, hindi niya alam kung anong dapat niyang maramdaman pero hinayaan niya nalang kahit na masakit sakaniya iyon, bakit masaki? natatawa nalang siya, hindi niya alam kung bakit masakit sa puso niya na makita si Vera na kasama si Rois. but that's the plan from the beginning siguro hindi niya lang matanggap na kailangan nito akitin si Rois, she can do anything but why to seduce him? that hurts.
nakatayo lang siya when a woman approached her, he can see her face. "Hey, you alone?" bumaling siya sa babae na namukhaan niya agad, Yuri. Yuri Tadashi. "No, I was with someone." iyon ang agad niyang sinabi. he doesn't want to tell her or seduce him. at this point, tila si Yuri ang ng aakit sakaniya.
"you have a girlfriend?" kumunot ang noo niya na tila hindi naman siya nakikilala ng dalaga, what the fuck is this? hindi niya alam kung sino siya? "don't you know me?" he asked her, mahina pa itong tumawa sakaniya. mukhang hindi naman nga siya nito nakikilala sa wala naman siyang maskara.
he took his mascara off earlier when he was looking for vera, "No. who are you actually? you are not that familiar with me, I mean i've seen a lot of business man. you are not that familiar for me, who are you?"
inilahad nito ang kamay sakaniya, "Yuri Tadashi. you are?" bumuntong hininga siya habang nakatingin dito bago tanggapin iyon, "Migo Bourne."
name doesn't ring a bell to her.
that's so interesting. "Bourne, you mean the billionaire who owns the bourne enterprises? that huge and multi-million company? they say, the husband and wife who owns that died in a plane crash and the son never show himself inside the business when he grows up. says, that young master was so busy at itself. are you?"
"What? no, I do works at my house. I just hate going to the noisy company. so, my secretary and butler is giving me the work at home. that's it, I just hate crowded place so. I haven't show myself at the company, how about you. you seems not like a business woman. I mean, who owns a huge company like I own, are you not in a business?"
umiling ito, "Nope. I was with my fiance whom I lost I don't know where he is, his name is Rois Delgado. the son of who made this party and bidding for that beautiful and expensive jewelries. Oh, they were rich and I came the first choice of my babe." what?
first choice or second?
"I wish to have a business partners with them, I want to have business with them even they say. delgado is a corrupt who will trick and steal from your company. a lot of their former business partners says that, they stole and steal something from their company it is the reason how they have a lot of moneys. because of how they manage to be a con-artist in every companies to have their shares."
tumingin ito sakaniya, "What? that's not true! nakita ko paano sila mag trabaho they never did what you said baka naman naninira lang sila kaya nasabi iyon. believe me, they never steal anything form others!"
"I'm interested to invest with their company.." nakita niya ang pagkaliwanag ng mukha ni yuri, impossible. sigurado siyang may alam ito sa kurapsyon ng pamilya delgado. "to me, are you not interested?"
Umiling agad siya, hindi niya akalaing lalandiin siya ni Yuri sa lagay nitong tila kuntento ay hindi naman pala, kagaya ni Rois. hindi kuntento sakaniya nilalandi pa si Vera sa likod niya, wala siyang alam. ngayon, maglolokohan na silang dalawa. ito ang patibong na ginagawa ni Vera seems now he like it.
when someone knock at the door, It was Allen with the tray of food. "anything you need, Sir?" bumuntong hininga naman siya at may gusto siyang gawin pero hindi niya kasi pwede iwanan si Vera magisa sa bahay, kailangan.. Oh. Right, Allen is okay with her. right? "Hold this, samahan mo ako sa kwarto niya. may sasabihin rin ako sayo." aniya.
"Yes, Master."
pinuntahan niya ang kasintahan at dinala ang pagkain na ipiniahanda niya sa bagong butler.
she was reading a book when he came in, "Hey. gutom ka na ba? nagpahanda ako kay Allen ng pagkain para sayo, so you could take your medicine. para naman maging okay ka na."
"Thanks, Uhm. he is the new butler? mukhang makakasundo mo naman siya agad, he looks nice."
sumama tingin niya, "I came here to tell you something, aalis kasi ako and I want allen to be with you para hindi ako mag alala. Is that okay? saglit lang naman ako, tell me If you want something para naman hindi ako mag alala. I just had to do something and I want you to take a rest at wag kang gagawa ng kahit na ano, If you need something ask Allen. please, my wife?"
umawang bibig nito, "W-what?"
bumaling siya kay Allen. "Allen, make sure that she won't walk, move and get off from the bed. make sure to keep your eyes on her, hindi siya pwedeng gumalaw o kumilos. naintindihan mo ba ako?"
"Hindi siya pwede kumilos kaya kung may kailangan siya, ask her and do what she need at alalayan mo siya kung pupunta siya ng cr. inangatan mo ang asawa ko kung hindi ikaw ang malalagot sa akin, Allen. nagkakaintindihan naman tayo hindi ba?"
he saw him gulped and nod, "Yes. Master." bumuntong hininga siya at humalik sa noo ni Vera, gusto niya sana isama si Vera ang kaso hindi kasi pwede masama pa lagay nito pero sa susunod sini-siguro niyang isasama niya si Vera. pero sa ngayon, hindi na muna siguro. there is a lot of time for that.
"Saan ka pupunta?" bumaling siya kay vera at sa tanong nito, tono nito ay gusto sumama sakaniya pero hindi talaga pwede ngayon, she's still sick. hindi pa siya okay, "next time na kita isasama, hindi ka pa kasi-"
she cut him off and kissed him on his lips na nagulat pa siya at parang bakla kung mag react at tignan si Vera. "Next time, I'll be counting on that next time sana huwag mo ako paasahin okay?" ngumiti siya at tumayo para umalis ngunit nag pahabol pa si Vera nasa pintuan siya ng magsalita ito. "Buy me pizza."
marahan siyang tumawa at isarado ang pintuan, umalis siya to drive somewhere gusto niya bisitahin ang ina at ama saan ito inilibing at nakalibing. It's been a year, bata palang siya when his parents died. he was seven and alfred is the one left with him na nagalaga, naging tatay para sakaniya. he don't clearly remember pero alam niyang nakilala niya na ang isa sa apo ni alfred. maybe he can't really remember that time.
It's been a year, ilang taon na itinago niya ang sarili na kung ano o sino ba talaga siya. he hide himself to hide his identity dahil hindi lahat safe para sa kaniya, Alfred taught him a lot of things about him, his family, their business, money, treasure even the underground works of his parents.
may dala siyang bulaklak na bumisita sa libingan nito ng nakangiti. "Hey Mom, Dad. kamusta? It's been a long time, I'm sorry If i lost time to visit you. marami lang akong inaasikaso, next time. ipapakilala ko si Vera sainyo, you will like her. she's perfect, she's the woman I started to treasure. ayokong mapunta siya sa ex-bestfriend ko." suminghap pa siya, hindi niya alam anong nasa utak niya but one thing for sure. naba-baliw na siguro talaga siya.
"Masama ba ako, Mom.. Dad? If i don't like her to be with Rois again, I hate myself for being like this pero ayokong mapunta siya ulit sa taong 'yon. gusto ko ako, ako ang piliin niya. She's not mine, she is not my girlfriend, we don't have a relationship. pero bakit ganito ang nararamdaman ko? mahal ko na ba siya? Five months. It's more than five months that I spent watching her how she love this man who hurt her behind. sinasaktan lang naman siya. nakakatawa hindi ba, tinulungan ko siya dahil akala ko gusto ko lang na tulungan siya maibsan at mawala yung sakit na nararamdaman niya."
but that's not what happened. "but slowly, I Just figure out myself failing the mission. my heart beats everything she's in pain and she's talking with Rois. It hurt me, gusto kong manakit, pumatay at sakalin si Rois hanggang maubusan siya ng hininga. nggigiliti ako sa inis at irita sa lalaking iyon. I want him to snap him out of existence."
huminga siyang malalim habang nag kukwento then a voice came out of nowhere.
"Hey, Bud." lumingon siya agad kung sino iyon at ang nakita niya it was his cousins with it friends.
take now, "cousins." may pinsan siyang quadruplets. Hunter, Trigger, Rifle and Bullet. Yes, Quadtruplets. four-twins that born in the same day but had different time minutes, kasama nito si Heil, Heaven at Pollux. bakit sila nandito?
he frowned. "Did you follow me?" tanong niya at lumingon sa lapida ng kaniyang mga magulan, his parents. "Yeah. we are bored, Migo."
lumapit si Trigger. "and news says the enterprises is trying to pull down by your other relatives. anong gagawin mo about that? that's your parents, our uncle and aunt's company. bakit ba ayaw mo magpakita sakanila?" umiwas siya ng tingin at nanatiling nakatalikod mula sa mga ito.
"You know why.."
lumapit si hunter sakaniyang tabi, "Naked Proposal is waiting for you to comeback. the gang was ready and prepared kung sakali you need a help from us."
marahan siyang tumawa at lumingon sa mga ito, totoo. namiss niya ang mga ito na makasama especially the other gang. panigurado, they are all waiting for him to come back. well, at fortunately may ibang trabaho si Migo na rason kung bakit hindi siya nagpapakita sa enterprises. It was called, Naked Proposal. It's like a underground company.
"we should go back with Naked. ang dami nating clients na nag aantay na bumalik tayo, Migo. wala ka bang balak na ibalik ang Naked Proposal? we should bring it back."
the quad agreed. "What are we waiting for? we shall go. We will re-open the naked agter a years now."
HABANG wala naman si Migo sa bahay ay kasama niya si Allen na nakaupo at nakabantay lang sakaniya gustog gusto niyang lumabas, umalis at mag enjoy pero hindi niya alam paano niya gagawin na mag enjoy. well that, that's the thing she can't even do dahil look at her condition! hindi siya makakilos, makalakad. Migo even forbid her to move from the bed kaya kailangan siyang manatili sa kama at walang kahit na anong gagawin.
where's migo? she have no idea where he is.
bumaling siya kay allen, naalala niya na maraming alam ito. narinig niya, kanina. they didn't realised how loud their voice was. rinig na rinig niya nga.
"Allen, anong sikreto ba ang meron si Migo?" nausisa niyang itanong iyon, tumayo si Allen at lumapit sa kaniyang tabi. "Master Migo should tell you that. hindi at wala ako sa pusisyon upang—"
natigilan ito, may kinuha siyang baril sa gilid nakuha niya iyon kung saan. "Miss Vera, my life will be in danger if I told you that. you should wait for Master Migo to tell you about the hidden underground."
"Underground?"
marahan itong tumango, "I have nothing to tell. that's the only thing I can say, nothing more. I'm sorry, Miss Vera. maybe wait until you're recovered and then, Master Migo would tell you everything. It wasn't that illegal after all, you have nothing to worry about. Master is fine whatever job he do."
bumuntong hininga siya at napaisip narin, siguro iyon ang gusto sabihin ni Migo sakaniya pero hindi pa maari ngayon, tahimik lang ang paligid then suddenly narinig nila ang isang boses na dumating, si Taffy at bumaling rin ito sa kaniyang kasama na lalake, bagong butler ni Migo hindi niya pa ito kilala.
"Who are you?" iyon ang bungad ni Taffy ng makita si Allen, tinawag niya agad ang kaibigan na tumabi sa kaniyang tabi. "That's allen, the new butler."
bumaling siya kay allen, "Allen. this is Taffy, my bestfriend and Hunter Montessori's Girlfriend."
"Pwede bang iwanan mo na muna kaming dalawa, Allen? don't worry, I will call you whenever I need something. tska nandito naman si Taffy, your master won't get mad. alam naman niyang si Taffy lang ang kasama ko, nothing more and I won't move. nahihirapan rin naman ako kumilos, just send us some snacks will do, Allen." aniya sa butler.
tumango ito, "Yes, Miss Vera."
pagka-alis naman nito ay agad siyang bumaling sa kaibigan niyang narito ngayon, "So tell me.. how is it feels and taste like?" ngising ngisi na tanong nito sakaniya at alam niya na kung anong ibig sabihin sa tanong nito, "Taffy!" singhal niya sa namumula niyang pisngi. hindi naman sa hindi siya kumportable pero naalala niya kasi ang lahat.
lahat mula sa gabing iyon! It was so clear to her mind the detail that night, that what happened.
"What? tell me, sige na. I told you when I and Hunter did that for the first time! look at you, hindi makalakad dahil sa one time na sarap. hmm?"
she gasped, "It's good, like you said and.." kinwento niya nalang sa kaibigan. no one tells a friend their sex life iba lang siguro kay Taffy at Vera na close at nagtatago ng sikreto they don't tell the whole detail. just few, they are close and share some secret files to each other. sila lang naman nakaka-alam ng sikretong iyon, they hide it.
she's still bothered, about Migo. Allen came with their snacks at agad rin silang iniwan na dalawa.
"I'm bothered. kailan ba ako makakalakad?" tanong niya nalang kay Taffy na tinawanan lang siya, ginusto niya naman yun siguro na babagok lang talaga siya. "manood tayo ng movie, anong gusto mo panoorin?" pag aaya naman nito sakaniya.
tumayo ito then may nakitang CD, "ano 'to?" tanong niya at ibinigay sakaniya maski siya walang idea ano at para saan ang CD na iyon kaya naman pinlay nila in a low volume. It was a wedding video of his parents, happened a years ago.
"Wedding Vide—"
parehas sila napatigil ni Taffy sa napanood when the wedding went wrong. the groom and bride was shot at nakita niya ang 7 years old na si Migo na naroon, this wedding was a few years ago.. second wedding? probably this is a second wedding.
and his parents didn't die in plane crash and migo knows that truth. itinatago niya ang totoo dahil nasasaktan si migo hanggang ngayon, his parents died infront of him. on its own wedding. Migo was there witness every second of their last breathe.
Poor migo.. "Ito pala sinasabi ni Hunter." bumaling siya kay Taffy. "Hunter says, there was a secret about migo. ito siguro yung sinasabi niya na sikreto bakit ayaw ni migo sa enterprises. because that company can remind him everything. the wedding was there, sa kumpaniyang iyon sila namatay."
"That's why, he need you more than you need him V. mas kailangan ka talaga niya. he is in pain.."
he still have that pain, all over him at hindi madali para sakaniyang kalimutan ang lahat. they return the cd where it was hidden and nanood nalang ng ibang movie habang wala si migo magkasama silang dalawa and buti nalang Iti fine that she could stay with her. magkasama silang dalawa buong araw walang ibang ginagawa mabuti hindi sila na bored. then allen came for her medications, she have to take the medicine, kailangan niyang uminom ng gamot. It's for you. If migo is here, yan ang sasabihin nito sakaniya, she's always hearing his voice with that words.
halos mapatalon siya when someone called, not surprising kung sino ito. "Hey, Rois.." it was her flirty voice. she want to be this slut and flirting all over everytime na tatawag ito sakaniya ay ganuon ang kaniyang boses dito. he seems into it, "Hey. did I disturb you?" iyon ang agad nitong tanong sakaniya. why is she talking to him? no idea.
"No.."
wala si taffy she went out babalik rin agad may inasikaso lang siya, kaya here is she talking with him all along. nakakainis? yes. pero she have to talk with him mas makakahalata kasi if umiwas siya ng walang sinasabi hindi ba, that's rude of her.
"Kailan tayo pwede magkita?" tanong ni Rois sakaniya, hindi siya sigurado kung kailan sila pwede na magkita ulit. "next week? hindi parin ako okay.."
narinig niya pag singhap nito. "I promise next week, pwede na tayo magkita na dalawa. Okay? I promise you that." aniya sa pag papangako. this is crazy. pero kailangan niyang gawin, what's was the plan if hindi niya gagawin? parehas nilang plano ni migo 'to but seems migo doesn't like the plan anymore.
"Okay, I'll go ahead. I just call to see kung ayos ka na. mag pahinga ka nalang, para mag kita na tayo."
ngumiwi siya then a hand suddenly grab the phone and answer it, "you behind this call. are you just flirting with my wife? go fuck yourself asshole."
tumingin siya sa galit na mukha ni Migo then his loud voice called for allen, "Allen! hindi ba sinabi ko sayo bantayan mo si Vera. what is this? bakit nakalusot na tumatawag sakaniya itong gagong to?" Allen doesn't know anything what he is saying.
siya na ang sumagot para kay Allen. "Excuse me, nandito si Taffy kanina so I ask him to go but Taffy had to go. may trabaho daw bigla sa kumpaniya mo, then you are shouting right now? ikaw nga dapat nagbabantay sa akin! you did this to me!"
she cross her arms.
"are you blaming me?" hindi siya kumibo at umiwas ng tingin dito, ayaw niya ng magsalita pa kay Migo.
lalo na lagi nalang siyang nagagalit sa kung sino-sino at hindi niya na gusto iyon. tama ba, tama ba na magalit siya ng walang dahilan? nagagalit at palagi nalang siyang galit! hindi na niya nga maintindihan bakit nagkakaganito si Migo sakaniya, he was never like this when they started. but now, nagiiba na si Migo. si Migo Bourne na nakilala niya unti unti nalang nagbago ng walang dahilan.
bakit, bakit siya ganito? nababaliw na siya sa kaka-isip ng maaring dahilan ng pagbabago nito.
"Baby. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout. naiinis lang ako ayoko kasi na napapabayaan ka, Okay. It's my fault sinabi ko saglit lang but It's already late night, I'm so sorry.. Vera, I didn't mean to shout at you."
humiga siya at tumalikod mula dito pero tumabi si Migo at yumakap sakaniya, "Hey. I'm really sorry."
she sighed, "Why are you like that? Why are you always like that? You're always mad, with people around you and whom I talk. You are not like that before. What happened to you?" That's the only thing she could say before closing her eyes and falling into her deep sleep while migo is hugging her.
