Bab 300: <Something’s inside>

"Alright, I'll give you something better than this if you'll behave."

Eman wasn't sure if the cat understood what he meant, but he noticed it nodding its head firmly.

"Nya!"

Fufu.

He chuckled inwardly at its response. This cat truly amazed him. He rubbed its head slightly. He wondered if it was a lone cat or if it had a pack of stray cats. But looking that it was alone in this tunnel, it was probably a lone stray cat. There was also the possibility that one of the bandits or their captives at that time was the owner of it.

However, no one of the captives mentioned losing a cat at the time when they rescued them. And in regards to the bandits, it's impossible now to ask them whether one of them is the owner of it.

Putting that matter aside for now, he bent his knees.

"Now then…" While saying that, he placed the cat back on the ground.
