Amachi grins at me. "I am one of his close friends, Milady. Do you not want to walk with me?"

"No, it's fine." I take his extended hand. "Thank you."

"The pleasure is mine, Milady."

It shouldn't be surprising that he would be here, but I didn't expect him to take me to the hall. I would rather walk with Eli or Devil. Maybe the laws of this world don't allow him. Devil won't come out of my head. I have a feeling that he's hiding something. 

'It's better if you don't know it,' Devil mewls in my head. 'I can't reveal myself to people for a while.'

I knit my brows. The hallways are softly illuminated by floating orbs that are similar to fireflies. Madame Rouge and her ladies are walking behind me.
