Shen had disappeared from the warehouse and appeared in front of the entrance of a cave. He knew very well the warehouse he trained in could only be a temporary base, so while he was out killing hollows while waiting for his Image Training cooldown, Shen marked a few places which could also work as temporary bases this cave being one of them.
"Well, at least that little episode is over." His battle with Hiyori didn't take too long though it was physically taxing after walking deeper into the cave he laid down against a wall. 'Im going to need a real place to stay soon.'
Shen had already thought of different places he could use as a permanent base, but only one made sense. 'I guess I'll really have to learn Kamui.' Shen had been avoiding the Sharingan for a while now not only because its cost and requirements but also because of the danger from the Mangekyou Sharingan, which is needed for Kamui. Due to its usage, it was a mobile dimension, after all, there was no guarantee he could return to a universe once he conquered it.
Shen didn't want to risk the chance of going blind until he was positive he could upgrade it safely, but in the end, he needed it sooner then he thought. 'Kamui gives the user a pocket dimension which is cut off, meaning no outside force could reach me. It would be a perfect place for a base. Not only that, I would be able to become intangible.'
The Mangekyou was indeed a double-edged blade. 'Well, no use avoiding it. I just have to get it to become an Eternal Mangekyou as fast as possible and be careful with my usage.' Coming out of his thoughts, he still didn't have enough SP nor reach the requirements to even get the Sharingan.
Other then the Sharingan Shen had a few different abilities he was interested in getting before the Soul Society Invasion. "I got a long way to go." Shen was still so far from the top compared to beings like Yhwach and Aizen, but his progress was becoming quicker. It was only a matter of time and staying alive.
As Shen had gotten away, the Vizard's did end up using the Warehouse as there base as Hachigen continued to heal Hiyori's injuries. The Vizards currently didn't know what to consider Shen he hurt Hiyori which would make him an enemy though it was a fight they or she herself picked, in the end, they all agreed they would simply leave Shen to his own devices as long as he didn't hurt one of their members.
Meanwhile, in Soul Society, Byakuya had been back for quite a while, along with Renji and Rukia. Although Shen didn't make the biggest impression on Byakuya, he did include him in his report to the Head Captain. Renji, on the other hand, did suffer a type of trama after facing death in the face he could only shiver when thinking of Shen same going for Rukia.
Byakuya, who was currently walking around the Seireitei, stopped when he ran into Gin. "Oh, if it isn't Captain Byakuya." Byakuya didn't answer and only stood there looking at Gin. "Oh, you're always so cold, oh well. I guess that's fine. I heard you ran into someone quite interesting in the land of the living. A being with no spiritual pressure is quite interesting. I would love to meet them."
After speaking, Byakuya replied. "What do you want, Gin?" Gin's creepy smile grew slightly. "Oh nothing I was just interested don't mind me but. If you were ever to find where that person is, let me know." With that, Gin walked away as Byakuya watched him until he was out of sight. Other then Aizen, Gin was also very interested in Shen although for a completely different reason then Aizen.
"Gin, where did you go?" Aizen asked curiously as he sat at his desk and turned his head to Gin. "Oh, nowhere, Lord Aizen, I was simply going on a walk." Aizen turned his head away slowly. "I see, then is everything prepared? We won't be in the Soul Society for much longer. You should say your goodbyes."
"Goodbyes? You say the funniest things, Lord Aizen. Everything is prepared as soon as the moment arrives." Aizen's eyes glowed slightly. "Very well. I must say Gin its been a while since I have been this excited for an event. Has there been any news about Ichigo or that person?" Gin responded. "No, ever since Rukia's capture, there have been minimal reports from the human world."
"I see." With that, Aizen went back to reading his book as Gin disappeared from the room. Back to Shen, who had finally waited for the full 24-hour Cooldown, he couldn't be happier. Ever since he defeated Hiyori, he still couldn't get over the rewards it gave him. Now that he would be able to kill and wasn't confined, he would be able to use his full power without restraint.
In training, he had started by fighting only two just to get a feel of the best way to go about things in the future. Due to his limited time, he had to make sure he optimized himself during training to be quicker and more efficient to get the most out of each session.
At first, he checked her durability using powerful attacks while keeping his distance. 'Dealing with Hiyori is easy enough; it's just her hollowfication.' Shen by himself could fight Hiyori and was positive he could fight five of them easily however, hollowfication made things more complicated. Due to her increased speed, she was harder to hit long-range, and due to the fact she could cut through his Ki, it made close range dangerous.
In the end, Shen found the best way was using After Flash spending the first few moments of the session planting marks on them before taking down one at a time. Of course, this was incredibly draining, but the rewards were more than worth it.
'At this pace, I might not even need to use half my time trying to get the Sharingan.'
Sorry, this chapter is mostly filler, but everything interesting will begin soon.
I hope you enjoyed it.
