Bab 533: Lei Dong's Real Problem

"Mei Ling!" It was Lei Qing, her mother who, once again called her attention. "I -I can't believe that you did that?! To your own cousin! Brother's daughter!!"

Mei Ling's father watched as his daughter was being stared at disgustingly. However, having supported her in taking the limelight from Xuilan, he quickly suggested for them to leave, fearing for being found out. 

Before Yang Yinjie could approach Mei Ling, Lei Dong was already on his way to her, raising his voice as he said, "You did that? How could you when I and Xuilan have helped you get into the military school from the start -Xuilan trusted you - we all trusted you!"

A slap went across her face but it came not from Lei Dong, but from her own mother, Lei Qing. Mei Ling's mother felt ashamed, having disappointed the brother that she looked up to. Moreover, she thought, if anyone should discipline her daughter, it should be her. 

"Mom - mom! Why did you slap me?!" Mei Ling cried in pain.
