Lu Fang had long investigated about Chevre's friends. He had three close buddies at school. It was because they shared the same interest in basketball that they became good friends. 

Gu Cheng's father is a Vice President for Sales and Marketing at the famous hotel brand in Singapore and Thailand. He was also a shareholder of the said hotel brand and thus was often out of the country. His mother, out of loneliness, spent most of her time at the casino, consuming her husband's money. Unfortunately, he was the only son. 

Jin Shui was an adopted son to the Jins of the Jin Finance Incorporated. Overall, he had a good family and caring adoptive parents. He joined the Jins at the age of seven when the Jins found out they could not have children.
