Bab 161: Shadow World

After Liam had hung out with Ash for a little bit, they went their separate ways as Liam wanted to have some fun with Sheila. At midnight Liam's eyes went wide open as he heard a small knock on his door.
He went to answer the door and lo-and-behold it was Zane. "Hey, it's almost time, buddy. Are you still able to help me out?" Zane asked Liam.
"Sure, why not?" he said.
Liam then went to pick up his poke balls as Zane signed in relief.
This time it seems like Liam was pretty sure he would need all the help that he could get since Zane said the guards he would be facing off had level 150 Pokémon on their side. Liam was excited to be having a real challenge since everybody else in the League Championship was not on his level.
Since Liam could not be seen with Zane, Zane just told Liam his location, which was slightly away from the stadium. Liam was using Shadow's Shadow Movement to hide within his shadows so that the two guards would not notice him.
After waiting for about 30 minutes, the two team Shadow representatives finally showed up as one said, "So do you have the money or not?" They both took out their poke balls as if ready for a battle.
Zane said, "No, I don't have what you want." The two guards laughed as they said, "Well then, I guess you're a dead man unless this kid has a backer." The two panicked as they saw the smile on Zane's face, and they started looking around to see if anybody was around. They did not see anybody as they signed a relief.
"We almost felt scared, kid." said one of the grunts and punched Zane in the face as Zane started panicking and said, "Where are you, man? You promised to help me out."
The two were convinced that somebody must be around and must be protecting or helping the kid; otherwise, he would not have come out here and been yelling all these things. It was then that Liam had seen enough and decided to step in.
"Hey, you guys," said Liam. The guards were surprised when they saw Liam appear out of nowhere.
"Have you been here this whole time?" One of them asked.
"Yes, I have, and you guys are going to give me answers because I need more information about this Team Shadow organization." Said Liam.
"What's a kid like you got to do with us? We saw your battles. You are not hot shit. That Tyranitar can't take both of our Pokémon at the same time, and that kid over there is relatively weak," said one of the guards.
Zane cowered in fear as he was thinking of escaping, but he had to see this through because even if he was to run and Liam lost, then they would still be able to find him.
"Hey kid, if you leave right now, we won't bring upon any harm on you, so are you sure this guy is worth defending?" said the other guards. Liam shrugged and nodded his head as if saying yes, he is willing to fight.
"Fine, suit yourself." One of the grunts then brought out a Dragonite, while the other brought out a powerful Blastoise.
"Let's do this."
Then they both said at the same time, hydro pump and both Pokémon unleashed one of their most potent moves.
Liam could not be bothered by this as he summoned Mewtwo, who put up a shield right away, blocking the attack altogether. The two grunts thought that Liam had been finished after that attack as not many people could survive such a thing.
But when the water had calmed down, they saw that Liam was still standing there, and on top of that, he was all alone.
Liam had returned Mewtwo right after blocking that attack. Even Zane did not see this outcome as he wondered how Liam was able to defend against two-level 150 Pokémon's powerful moves, but Liam did not bother to explain as suddenly the whole place got dark.
"You guys think you are hot shit by calling yourselves Team Shadow. I'll show you the real deal", said Liam. Suddenly, Shadow and Morteon popped up their heads from the ground as they unleashed Shadow World and the whole place became dark.
This was a move that Morteon and Shadow had recently learned from Giratina. The two trainers began to get scared as they wondered what was happening.
Then, they heard a few sounds before the lights came back on again as they witnessed that Blastoise and Dragonite had both fainted, shocking them as they did not see when and what had happened.
They both fell on the floor at the same time as they had confused faces before being shocked as a cold wind rubbed the back of their necks, making all their hairs on their body stand up. It was then that they finally witnessed the power within Liam as his aura elevated, making it visible for the eye to see.
The two grunts cowered on the floor as fear overwrote any other feelings they had. 'This man is dangerous' was the first thing that came to their mind.
'We have to escape' was the next thing, but the second thing looked impossible as Morteon slashed one of the guard's face causing him to die right then and there as blood poured out of his face.
Zane, who had witnessed all of this, had already shit his pants as his whole body was shaking in fear.
'This boy is the devil. He is the devil. How is he this powerful?' thought Zane.
