Bab 7: Awakening (1)
The squealing of excited girls rang into Luca's ears, making him wince painfully. Axel being in the middle of it, smiled gently as he addressed the girls one by one. Luca ignored all this and looked at his smart watch. The date and time illuminated on the screen. 11:02am, 19th February 2312. According to the book, Axel awakened his Gift early in this year, after Lucius' birthday by a bit and the next day Lucius himself awakened his Gift, enabling people to praise them as geniuses. The time that Axel awakened his Gift was during class, where they were required to throw a ball as far as they could, Axel threw his so far, it disappeared. Today, coincidentally, the class will be required to practice throwing during gym time. Meaning, Axel will gain his powers and Luca will too, the next day.
The event of Axel awakening his power was described as
[A pure white light enveloping his body and his arms gracefully, and naturally bending, throwing the ball in the most perfect way, using the perfect amount of power]
and the scene in front of Luca is exactly that. A bright light enveloped Axel's body, almost blinding, causing his classmates to cover their eyes, as he threw the ball perfectly. He finally did it. He has awakened his Gift, 'Weapon Affinity'. After the light died down, the body of a sleeping young boy remained, the teacher's eyes glistened and he quickly grabbed Axel, taking him to the nurse. Whilst Luca's eyes glistened even brighter, he can now finally use his Gift.

At home Luca sat at his usually spot and his face lit up in anticipation. He had to kill time until he tomorrow comes, until his plans start getting into place and the best way to use it is to speak to Aden.
"Aden, Axel awakened today..."
"...", his usual stoic face slightly twitched, trying to hold down the surprise.
"I know you awakened too.. so I was kind of wondering what it's like"
"You'll see when you awaken yourself"
"...", 'YOU STUPID CAT!', Luca thought in anger.
"I mean... it feels like someone is hugging you. It's really warm and you fall asleep. Then you suddenly know! It's like you were meant to know this whole time but forgot, you remember what it's called, and how to use it."
"Cool~", An uncharacteristic reply escaped Luca's mouth. He quickly stood up, got ready and went to bed.

During breakfast, Seth complained to his grandsons about the 'White family', Axel's family, boasting about their son's gifts. Luca glanced at Noah, who displayed a face full of mixed emotions, something within Luca made him want to know what Luca is thinking. A familiar voice then echoed in his mind,
{Axel, is amazing, I wonder what mine will be.. but it won't be beneficial for the family...}
Suddenly a warm light wrapped around Luca, gently leading him to a peaceful slumber.
Inside a black space, Luca felt like his body was floating. His mind filled with information, the same feeling as when he woke up as Lucius. Within the information, a few words stood out.
<Mind Manipulation> But then another set of information rushed in, including another few words.
