Bab 257: Chapter 257
On the second day, Cacha followed her husband to work again. This time, she was not using Kenichi's desk but a vacant seat whose owner was away. The people there acted more normal compared to the day before. She concentrated on her job but she frowned after while. She peeped on a middle age woman next to her. The lady did not seem to busy.
"Excuse, can I ask question ?" She asked after she ensured that the lady had finished her task.
The lady was stunned for seconds before she said yes awkwardly. She wondered what question lady boss wished to ask. was it about boss ? like how many women after him ?
"Mam, Are you originally from this island ?"
"Yes. From My grandparents until my kids were born and grew up here"
Cacha nearly clapped her hands, luck of her side. She did not waste time to bombard the lady with question about native plans of the island. The lady was happily tell her everything she knew. Not only her, few other staff also joined the conversation.
That morning, Kenichi ran meeting with each of teams. After his last meeting concluded, he went back to his office but she was not around. He tought she was in the toilet, so he did his work while waiting for him. He finished one report, yet she did not come back.
"Did you see my wife ?" He asked one of the staffs there.
"Madam is out there"
"Where ?"
"There"
Kenichi eyes followed the direction that the employees there pointing at. From the window, he saw Cacha was playing around with rock. Next to her, an old man was moving small plan on pots around according her direction.
Kenichi strode out without further ado. He rushed to her side "What are you doing here ?"
Cacha looked up and smiled "Have you finsihed your meeting ?"
"Yes. I asked you what you're doing here and you haven't answered me"
"This place has alot of rocks, I'm thinking to arrange them together with native plan"
He shook his head helplessly. "It's too cold. just stop what you're doing." He held her hand and pulled her up.
Cacha disliked when people distrubed her work. She opened her mouth to argue but he cut her off "have a stroll with me, I have something to discuss"
"Alright" Cacha smiled at the old man and bowed her head slightly "Thank you sir"
The oldman smiled and bowed back to her "My pleasure"
Kenichi did not say anything, he just lowered his head slightly as a thank you gesture. The old man smiled as they young couple left "Very good lady"
He was not the only one praised the lady boss. The group of staffs on the office who had discussion with Cacha before, the waitresses who deliver food for her, the chefs even cleaners who bumped to her on corridor praised her.
At first, they were under impression that their Lady boss was some one was not easy to deal with and very mighty like all those rich young women. In fact,m They were all wrong, the lady boss was just a normal nice lady.
Perhaps, That was the reason why the boss fell for her. If it was really the reason then most of them, especially older generation agreed that boss preference on woman was excellent.
they all admitted that not only had better personality and attitude, lady boss was more prettier than his ex-fiancee.
Kenichi and Cacha already walked for few meters but he had not said anything. From his face, she knew he had something in his mind.
"What happen ?" She asked
"Cha, what would you do if someone who dislike you and you don't found him either work with you ?"
Cacha halted her step and looked at his eyes "huh ?"
"We have new employee. He used to work with me back then" He explained.
"Why does he not like you ?"
"Because I'm hatefull"
She rolled her eyes "Why do you not like him ?"
"He's a professional but he has his own idea and it was different from mine. You know, we often argued" Yesterday He told the new employee that he would keep him as long as he performed well. He really meant it. However, today during the team meeting, he could see that they were still not on the same page. He was wonder if he should kept him or terminated him now.
"Well, probably because he doesn't know you. As long as he works professionally, I think you should give him a chance. You too have to explain your aim clearly, don't let them make a wrong assumption. Int that way,I'm very confident, he will understand you very soon then he'll be one of those who you can rely on"
"Really ? I'm not sure if It works"
"Of course it will. Nothing is impossiblefor you"
"Why ?"
"because of you. You're awesome" She blurted out without thinking
Kenichi could not help but laughed. He was not sure if she was telling the truth or just to console him, but her statement really cheered him up "Alright then I follow what ever my wife said"
"You should" She said confidently.
He hugged her by her shoulder "Tomorrow, I'll bring you to the ski resort"
"Don't you suppose to work ?"
"It's for work purpose. Babe, that's our cottage" He pointed at small house.
"How come ?"
"The cottage is actually at the back of this resort. I did not make short cut due to security reason"
"I'm not talking about the cottage. The ski resort, is it belong to you ?"
Kenichi chuckled "Wifie, I'm not that powerful. The land is belong to local government. The mayor is Jun's father friend. Five years ago, they opened a tender to build and manage ski resort, we won it"
"We ?"
Kenichi smiled "We. At that time, I use half of my saving to invest in another company, so I did not have fund for this project. I asked Kuro's family and Jun's father to put money. Since they are good citizens, they agreed directly"
"I see. what kind company did you invest ?"
"I lent them money"
"you're not shark loan, aren't you ?"
Listening to her accusation, he pinched her cheek lightly "I gave them very low interest, but the penalty of failing to pay was huge"
"Fair enough"
He snorted "lets go back and have a little rest. We're going to have corporate dinner tonight"
"Corporate dinner ?"
"Yes. Last year result is exellent, so we are going to invite them for dinner. I wish to thank everyone for their hardworking"
"No bonus ?" She teased.
He laughed "Well.. just a little"
Cacha put her thump up "Darling, that uncle talked a lot about old ceberation that has been forgotten. he said young generation prefer Western celebration like Halloween, christmas and what ever, they behind their beautiful ancestors tradition, how sad. Actually he was not the only one. Actually another aunty helped be before but left before you came. She basicly had the same tought. As a foreigner, I really want to come and see those traditional festivals"
"hmm.. I agree. What else did the old say ?"
As they walked home, she started retell him what the old man said.
