Bab 61: Suzy
Stefan was pondering what to do when he heard Mary saying "Are you ok Hermione? you're too pale"
Stefan turned his head and saw Hermione who was gripping with too much strength the Daily Prophet, she was white as a ghost and was staring at the Daily Prophet with a lost look in her eyes.
"Huh, she has a trauma since that day?, I mean she almost died with her family... I haven't thought about it, can she see the Thestrals?" thought Stefan as he took a chocolate cake from the table and put it in front of Hermione and said "Eat"
Hermione didn't answer to him as she continued to look at the Daily Prophet, Stefan furrowed his brows and said again "Eat" as he took the Daily Prophet, Hermione had in her hands.
Hermione finally reacted and nodded at him as she started to take small bites of the chocolate cake.
"And he is going to come and purge all of the unpleasant people that has been joining Hogwarts making it decay along the years" said Draco with a loud voice that almost all of the students for other Houses heard him, and started turning pale as they heard that and Hermione who was starting to eat, stopped eating again.
Stefan furrowed his brows, Zabini who was eating a steak peacefully suddenly heard the voice of Stefan sounding in his head "Shut him, he's being so noisy"
Zabini started choking as he heard the voice of Stefan in his head, while Crabbe and Goyle who were at his side turned pale too, and so he assumed they heard him as well.
Zabini tapped the shoulders of Crabbe and Goyle who were nervous as they heard Stefan talking with Zabini and said in a low voice "Let's shut him, before he involves us in this mess"
Crabbe and Goyle nodded with determined faces, they all stood up while bowing slightly to Stefan who just waved his hand slightly.
Zabini, Crabbe and Goyle walked where Draco was sitted while talking with Pansy Parkinson, Milicent Bulstrode and other Slytherins.
"Draco, shut it, you will not talk more about the topic" said Zabini as he looked at him with an aggressive look, while Crabbe and Goyle nodded behind Zabini.
Draco got dazed by what they said and turned his head to look at Stefan who was still wearing his silver mask on his face but still saw his silver eyes that looked at him for a moment through the slits of the mask.
Draco got a chilled as he saw his eyes and just lower his head in response and gripped his fists tightly as he said with resentment in his voice "I will not talk more about the topic"
Zabini heard his resentment in his voice and said slowly "If you're planning to do something do it alone, don't involve us and don't talk to us anymore"
Draco clenched his teeth as he heard that and nodded.
Everyone in the Great Hall noticed the interaction between Zabini, Crabbe, Goyle, and Draco, and saw as Draco looked for a moment at where Stefan the genius from Slytherin was and everyone looked with grateful eyes at Stefan for shutting Draco's mouth.
In the table of Gryffindor.
"Maybe he is not as bad as we thought Ron..." said Harry unconsciously but shut up as he saw the expression of Ron.
"Don't be tricked Harry, I'm calling it right now he's is going to be the next Dark Lord..." said Ron with a voice not so low that some of the persons beside Ron heard him.
"Stefan isn't a bad person, didn't you see how he made Draco shut up, if you have the guts go and talk to Draco like that" said Parvati Patil with a sneer on her face.
"Yes, shut it, didn't you say you were going to go to the Slytherin table and make Draco shut it, but you just kept talking about it and did nothing, instead Stefan can even make Zabini and the two trolls obey him and make Draco shut it" said Lavander Brown as she steal some glances at Stefan
Ron turned red as he heard that and didn't say anything as he started to eat quietly while gripping with too much strength his fork.
While Harry just sighed and gave Ron a look and started eating.
Stefan waited for the girls to finish eating, he stood up and started walking to the exit of the Great Hall with Mary beside him at his right and Hermione at his left who was still somewhat pale, while Daphne and Tracey were behind him.
As Stefan was walking suddenly felt many stares on him, even more than when he first appeared with the silver mask at the Great Hall, he turned his head and saw that many students were looking at him with a gleam in their eyes, while some of the girls were pointing at him.
Mary who noticed that giggled and said "Looks like you impressed them by making Draco shut up, you have many admirers now Stefan"
"Hmmmph" snorted Stefan as he heard that and kept walking calmly, while Mary and girls started giggling, even Hermione who was still a bit pale.
"We're going to see you later, Stefan is going to eat" said Mary while smiling to everybody, everyone nodded at her and left, as they know Mary has been preparing all of the food of Stefan in the kitchen were the House-elves were.
Stefan and Mary started walking in direction of the kitchen that is located directly under the Great Hall, down the staircase leading to the Hufflepuff Basement, the school kitchens are accessible by going through a door in the entrance hall and taking the stairs downwards. Downstairs, in a broad stone basement corridor, brightly lit and decorated with food-themed paintings, one can tickle a pear on a painting of a bowl of fruit. The pear will giggle and turn into a large green door handle, revealing the entrance to the Hogwarts kitchens.
Stefan and Mary entered the kitchen, a high-ceilinged room, large as the Great Hall above it, with mounds of glittering brass pots and pans heaped around the stone walls, and a great brick fireplace at the other end and with 100 House-elves that were doing each of them something like cutting vegetables, cutting them, cleaning them, frying something etc.
As Stefan and Mary entered the Kitchen all of the House-elves bowed to them and said "Welcome" and continued with their chores but one Elf in specific walked to them and said with a cheery voice "Miss Mary is going to cook to Mr. Stefan right ?, I've prepared everything, follow me" said the house-elf as she bowed for a moment to Stefan and Mary and started walking to a table where every kind of food ingredients was there.
"Thank You Suzy" said Mary as she started choosing the ingredients from the table, Stefan sat down in a table near Mary, while Suzy walked to where Stefan was and said with a polite voice "Is there anything you need Mr. Stefan?"
"Suzy, let's talk, shall we ?, I've come many times here and we haven't talked too many times" said Stefan as he took off his silver mask, showing his ugly burnt face to Suzy who just looked at his face for a moment since she had already seen him before and said with a respectful voice and a curious face "What does Mr. Stefan wanst to talk with Suzy?"
"First, sit down Suzy, so we can talk properly" said Stefan as he pointed with his index finger at the opposite chair in front of Stefan.
"No no no no, Mr. Stefan, Suzy can't do that that would be so unrespectful from my part, I can't do it sorry" said Suzt with an apologetic voice with a determined face.
"I'm ordering you to sit down Suzy" said Stefan as he pointed again at the chair that was opposite of his.
Suzy had a vexing expression on her face as she didn't know what to do, as she was ordered to sit down, but it would be unrespectful from her to sit down, after a few seconds of hesitating she sat down in front of Stefan.
Stefan nodded as he saw how Suzy sat down in front of her and said "Suzy, tell me, are you happy here in Hogwarts?"
Suzy nodded immediately and said with an excited voice "Suzy is very happy in Hogwarts, I was born here, and my mother too, and my grandmother too, all of my family has been living in Hogwarts since our Misstress Helga Hufflepuff brought my ancestors to live here"
Stefan nodded with a smile on his ugly face and said "Suzy that's very good, and tell me besides Hogwarts where else have you been ?"
Suzy shook her head and said with a thinking face "Suzy has never left the compounds of the School, actually I have never left the castle..."
"That's a shame, Suzy, so you have never been outside of the compounds of Hogwarts, and have you ever think of leaving Hogwarts and see the world ?" said Stefan as he looked at Suzy with interest in his face.
Suzy panicked and her enormous eyes started turning red as she heard that and started saying with a panicked voice "Suzy wouldn't do that, Suzy has never thought of leaving, Suzy is a good house-elf"
"I was just asking Suzy, there's no need for panicking, don't worry, I was just asking, just curiosity" said Stefan with an apologetic voice.
"Sorry Mr. Stefan, Suzy panicked as I thought getting fired, Suzy is a good house-elf" said Suzy with an apologetic face as she cleaned her tears from her face.
"And tell me, Suzy, why do you think that you have to serve as a slave to Hogwarts, having the fate to born here and die here without leaving not even once, not knowing the world, aren't you curious about the world ?" said Stefan with a calm face as he took an apple from the table and started eating it.
Suzy had a hesitating expression on her face as she whispered to Stefan "Suzy is curious about the world, but Suzy is a house-elf, Suzy can't leave and Suzy is happy living in Hogwarts with the other Elves"
"Ok, Suzy, you can leave, tomorrow we will continue with our chat" said Stefan as he saw Mary coming with a silver tray that had lasagna on it and a chocolate milkshake beside the lasagna.
Suzy nodded as she stood up and bowed to Stefan for a moment and then walked to a table where she started cutting some vegetables
Mary put the plates in front of Stefan and then proceeded to put him a napkin, Stefan said "Thank You" as he started to eat, while Mary sat down where Suzy was a few moments ago and said with a soft voice "How did it go?"
"I have an advance with Suzy, she told me she is curious about the world, as for her other reactions were almost the same, but at least this time she didn't take a pan and started hitting herself like last time, but she did cry, so I guess it was good" said Stefan as he took a sip from his chocolate milkshake.
"That's good, Young Master" said Mary with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, we have time so it's ok..." said Stefan with a calm face as he looked at all of the hundred house-elves that were doing their chores.
"Sent a message to Grindelwald, we are going to visit Azkaban sooner, I want all of the information of that place, make him abduct Fudge if necessary, those ants... the little Demons and the Reapers have been moving a lot these days... I don't want any surprises" said Stefan as he took a bit from the lasagna, after a moment he said "I love your cooking"
Mary smiled brightly as he heard that, and took her tablet and send the message to Grindelwald, after a moment she got a reply and said "Grindelwald says he knows the localization of Azkaban, but still, he wants to go for the approach of abducting Fudge just to don't have any kind of surprises"
"Tell him, that he needs to make it fast so not get the attention of the Demons and Reapers, and that Emma cant show herself if it's not necessary" said Stefan as he kept eating.
Mary nodded as she started tapping quickly at the tablet, after a moment she got a reply back with an affirmative answer and said "Grindelwald says he will have news in a few days"
