Ethan smiled when he saw Alaric. In his eyes, Alaric was already akin to being the ruler of the world. He could see himself standing beside him and making his dreams happen.

He bowed his head and respectfully said, "Alaric...what, would you like with me?"

In Alaric's mind, he was feeling a little bit strange. He had never received this kind of respect or reverence before in his life. Yet, Ethan was kneeling before him, and his voice reflected the respect he showed.

Alaric said, "I need you by my side right now instead. I can't have you kill everyone in Trostan, because I'm doing this to save the world, not destroy it."

Ethan looked up an nodded, "of course. I was going to stop after I destroyed Trok city because that's where the general who took away my life lives. I'll make the old man pay, then the rest of my life is dedicated to you."
