Just based on this, she was heaven as compared to Ye Lingtong — who was hell — in Lan Xuanyu's eyes.

 Lan Xuanyu did not have any time to consider the consequence when faced against a terrifying existence like the Sinister Dark Demon Tiger. He did not consider whether or not failing to escape would lead to Liu Feng and Qian Lei's elimination as well. All of his actions were subconsciously done without any consideration in hopes of being able to save her.
