The combined effect of quietness and coolness from the car's air conditioning soon lured Liu Rachael into a deep sleep. Awkwardness in the way her head was hanging forward clued the man sitting next to her that she was already fast asleep, this caused a smile to appear on his face.
"Miss Liu, I can't have you sleeping in such an uncomfortable position. You can fuss at me all you want later on, but for now, lean on me and sleep more comfortably."
While he spoke, Duan Chengyu closed the space within them in seconds and reached for her, gently lowering her head to broad shoulders. From the side mirror, Tian Min's reflection paled further, his lip thinned all the more as he saw his ex-girlfriend sleeping soundlessly on the shoulder of another man. His hands balled into a fist, as though ready to launch a punch at Duan Chengyu.
"You snake! How dare you try to take advantage of her!"
Fuming inside, Tian Min glared at the man that he saw to have stolen what he considered his. Lan Tuo kept casting side glances at the man whose presence was making him more and more uneasy.
"Mr. Tian, is this the right place?"
Lan Tuo asked the man beside him, not because the GPS was wrong, but the building they were at was an expensive apartment complex.
"Yes. This is okay."
