"G..Good...evening Chairman Duan!"
It was evident from her voice that his unannounced visit to his home, rattled his new helper.
"I thought you were expecting me already? Or didn't Mr Lan call to let you know that I was on the way?"
Duan Chengyu feigned surprise, when he saw how Liu Rachael reacted to see him at home, he saw that she bought the smooth lie he told her, from the way she looked apologetically at him.
"I'm sorry Chairman Duan, but I don't think he called or maybe he did and I didn't hear when my phone rang...."
She didn't get to finish what she was saying as a shrill sound came from somewhere in the living room. Liu Rachael walked past Duan Chengyu to pull out the phone from a deep blue crossbody bag, on the caller screen was "Sweetheart" the the heart sign by the side.
"He..Hello..."
"Rachael! Where are you? I'm in front of your apartment! Are you still at work?"
"Hmm..I'm..."
"Miss Liu, who are you speaking with?"
Duan Shengyu stood behind Liu Rachael, therefore he could hear the male voice on the other end.
"Shush!"
In a bid to stop her chairman from interrupting the conversation with her boyfriend, unfortunately the other had picked up on the voice of Duan Shengyu.
"Are you with another man?! I'm I correct to assume that you are not at the office?! Are you cheating on me?!!!!!"
"No! It's not what you think, I'm somewhere."
"Does the somewhere have a name?!"
"I'm sorry Tian Min, but I tell you later."
"So you can't tell me where you are?!"
"..."
"That's it! We are over! Goodbye Rachael!"
