With a clank, the part of the glass railing, which had loose nuts, broke from the rest and fell flat on the edge of the roof. As soon as it hit the edge, it cracked off from the middle and slanted towards the ground. Feng Xinying slid onto it and started falling down. Somehow, she managed to hold the railing's frame as she slipped over the glass and hung in the air. 

Everyone out there was in jitters. Seeing Feng Xinying falling off the roof was the most dreadful sight for Lu Dao and Wu Bosun. Everyone ran there to save her but it was impossible to reach her because of the glass and the damaged podium. 

Her grip on the railing was slipping away. The media people took the opportunity and started clicking pictures. The entire scenario was on the tip of becoming a scandal, which Lu Dao dreaded.
