Bab 192: Regretting Those Words Deeply

Qian Meng received a call shortly after she finished work from Li Jun. 

"Tell me. Is there any progress on the investigation?" Qian Meng asked. She knew there would be nothing new, but she could hope.

Li Jun coughed. "Actually, there is." Qian Meng gasped in response. "I am as surprised as you are, actually. I called them to find out what was going on right after our call this afternoon and they told me they didn't have enough manpower to look into it."

"But then they changed their tune?" she asked, dumbfounded.

"It seems so. I received a call from the prosecutor. They already got a court order to track and surveil Bai Ye Qing. Moreover, they are investigating deeply into the case. I think they assigned three or four exclusive investigators on the matter, too."
