She has walls built higher than donalds
That form around her;
As she is;
Pure and honest.
These walls don't come down for anyone
They stay and tower
Above anyone who wishes to enter.
Sometimes, bricks will fall
and bruise the person below.
But they never go low enough
Not before she shoves the person away
And builds the wall higher.
For they, have made a threat
Of hurting her
Or ruining her.
She simply cannot allow that.
She longs for one to find of her utmost importance.
For one to find her to be the most extravagant.
The most lovable
The most adorable
And the most precious.
She wants to be admired;
So deeply that the other finds a way
Into her walls and stays there
For the rest of time.
For the rest of their life.
She despises herself
For having walls so high
And for having trust so low
She despises that she still
Sometimes allows one in
And loves them with all her might
Just for it to end
With it being thrown back into her face.
She despises herself for still believing
That she'll find the one,
That life isn't meant to be suffocating,
That it will all get better.
When it's all gotten worse
As time continues.
The clock has ran
And life has thrown her down.
But she still rises
And chases the clock,
Unaware of the fact that she's outrunning life while chasing time.
Time to do things and be with others and be happy.
She knows that life is short,
But where will she ever find the time?
She despises herself;
For the way she looks and sounds.
All those years of hushed whispers
Werent very kind.
They've dragged her down
And made her walls higher.
She knew that it was all a lie
That she's so much more
Than what the voices say
But, she finds herself stuck.
She believes it.
The words form onto her skin
And label all of her flaws.
The words wrap around her throat
And suffocate her.
She yearns to fight back
But words can't be grabbed
They sink into her skin
And become permanent.
Oh, and how she hates to be a bother.
She shuts others out
For days at a time
Unless that person is really trusted.
Even then, she doesn't give every detail.
But can you blame her?
It's not her fault that
Others forced her to hide away
And be weary of others.
Is it?
