(QuinJet, Way Back to New York)
The quiet on the Quinjet was annoying to Laura, though she doesn't Persey like to engage in the conversation between the other members of the team, or other people in general it was rather relaxing to hear the jokes and barbs between everyone on the way back from a successful mission.
But unlike other missions, there was no talking on the way back.
Tony had taken the sceptre right away and immediately flown back to avengers' tower after everything was said and done, Thor following to make sure nothing happened on the way back. Tony's iron legion was tasked with cleaning up some of the damage that the poor town of... Laura thought for a few seconds on its name before finding it... Sakovia, went through after Hydra's sloppy targeting systems tried to shoot him down and missed.
Though the iron legion in its self was something Laura was surprised about, she hadn't known Tony had so many mass produced suits on standby, where they even suits? Or were they robots?
Steve and Natasha were at the front piloting, Laura shifted her eyes sight to the cockpit for a second and caught the eye of Natasha as she looked back, she wanted to trade places with Laura, or Felicia.
Though Clint had been patched up in the field, it was bad, probably the worst injury any of them had suffered since they started tracking down HYDRA. As Clint was almost the overwatch of the team, it wasn't usually for him to be in the line of fire.
Hulk, Thor and even Steve could basically tank bullets or deflect them, while Natasha and Felicia were just too agile to get hit. Laura herself didn't even have to worry, a missile could hit her and she would walk out of it after a few seconds or minutes of healing.
But back to Clint, with such a grievous injury he was hooked up to an IV at the back that was making sure his physical state was stable, he would be getting the best medical help from Dr Cho when they got back to the tower, if Tony didn't make sure of it, Natasha would 'convince' him. He had been doing a lot of what Natasha 'suggested' after their 'talk' at the mall a few months back.
Clint was who Felicia was looking after with Banner by her side. The 'enhanced' that was the cause of those injuries had disappeared. They had looked for him on satellite and on site, but there was no trace of him, something Steve wasn't happy about. Not to mention the second one that appeared and then disappeared. They would hopefully get an identification on the two when they got back.
Seeing as they were helping Hydra there was no telling what they would do with such power. The group was pretty sure they had taken down all of the main bases of Hydra, but one could never be too sure.
If the enhanced were able to find another base well, that was a worst-case scenario, them just being out there by themselves, still bad, but not too big a deal. Tony had already got Jarvis creating a program to possibly track the highspeed individual, not that anything would come out of that for a long while. While the other one, no one was sure what she could do.
But with everyone preoccupied the Quinjet was quiet, too quiet for Laura's opinion. Her enhanced smell could pick up ever scent, whether that was the sweat they had all been perspiring as they tracked through and demolished the base, or the blood that still lingered.
Sure, it was a familiar scent, but one she had over the past few months come to dislike. Living in the tower... being around Peter, Laura was starting to appreciate.... a life without killing.
Looking down at her hand her 4 claws slowly popped out, their black lustre and the usual pain a small distraction from her other senses. There were multiple splashes of blood littering her outfit, skin, hands, pants, but that all drifted away as she rotated her claws and her thoughts drifted to a certain brunet.

(Avengers Tower, New York)
Peter stood in the kitched waiting for the others to come down after they got back. He had been in his room relaxing, studying up on some chemical formulas that he might implement into his webbing with Crystals help when he was notified that the others were back.
Though he might have been stressed the first few times they had left the tower to destroy hydra bases, he had followed through with his promise to let others get the work done. He had started with the whole SHIELD incident, and it was getting better.
He didn't feel the crushing weight of responsibility and guilt that came with not helping; though he had been patrolling for at least 2 hours after they had left. But the fact still stood, he was now able to relax while they were gone and not pace back in forth; or ask Crystal or Jarvis to show him what was happening. Crystal would help him because well it was Crystal and Jarvis would oblige, seeing as he was close to multiple members of the Avengers.
*Ding*
Finally, the sound of the elevator sounded as Peter turned to see the group pile out. Peter knew that Tony, Bruce and Thor were discussing something in the lab, so the small group only consisted of Felicia, Laura and Steve, he was surprised that Clint and Natasha weren't present but decided to ask after a few minutes.
"Hey guys." Peter got a distracted nod back from Steve as he went to the side while Felicia and Laura both made a bee line towards him.
"Hey Pete, Isn't that sweet waiting like a dutiful husband after a long day at work." Peter rolled his eyes at Felicia's words as she came in for a hug, one that he quickly dodged.
"What did I say about getting blood and dirt on my clothes after mission?" Raising a brow and still dodging her advances, he was surprised when two lithe arms wrapped around him from behind and held him close.
There was the small sound of an inhale as Laura snuggled her head into the pit of his back.
"Urgh Laura, what did I just say!" Peter said it in an exasperated tone, but there was no heat behind his words as he let her continue the hug. He could feel her body untense from the prolonged contact, something he was happy about.
What he wasn't happy about was the Cheshire grin on Felicia's face as she closed in for the kill.
"Now wait a second Felicia..." Before he could even continue, she pounced and wrapped her arms around him as well. Peter could only give a small sigh at the interaction as he knew another pair of clothes would have to be heavily washed to get the blood stains off them.
But with that said Peter returned her hug, before telling them to go shower up, he would hear all the details about their mission and where Clint and Natasha were, after they cleaned up.
Notes: Once again I want to just put down here that I will be skipping some movie events and only doing certain scenes that I have changed or have major changes. For example, in the movie Steve is attacked by Wanda when he is taking down Strucker. That is why she is mentioned as being spotted, even though over the last few chapters it wasn't mentioned that she was seen. Just in case anyone was going to ask.
