Bab 45: Arrival of Serafall
"NOOOOO!"
"Hehehe." I laughed at Sona, that girl really wants to avoid her sister that much.
"Just kidding." I added.
I bring down the paper with Satan's summoning circle on it. Using my other hand, I pull back part of the uniform blazer to reveal the pocket there. I nonchalantly place the pamphlet inside.
To me it was a normal activity but for others, it carried a different meaning. Putting away the little flyer was the same as disarming a nuclear warhead, nevertheless, I enjoyed the sudden reactions of all the girls, including Reya who had stepped away from me in the sudden exchange previously.
"Don't worry, I won't bring Serafall Leviathan directly here." I confirm.
Sona's face went red, her reaction was certainly out of character even Tsubaki who was next to me, blushed.
At another corner, Tsubasa was coolly smiling while Momo had half her face covered by a book. I had no idea where she pulled the book out from as I hadn't seen her with it before.
Nevertheless, I felt good pulling this trick on the Sitri team, Sona especially.
"Have Ruruko and Chaos... I mean... Chaosha come this way." I asked, doing my best to change topic. Well, for their sake.
"Y-yes, t-they did arrive. They've gone ou-out" Tsubaki stammered.
"Okay, I'll be borrowing Chaos today. I guess we'll starting school officially tomorrow or something."
"That's fine." Sona said
I cast a spell, under my feet a spell circle forms. Catching hold of Reya's hand, I pull her closer to me. She looks quite shy, probably because all the attention she attracted from the devils. It was different from when she entered the school.
The spell I cast naturally was the teleportation spell. We both disappeared instantly.
In the next second, Reya and I manifest at Kuoh Academy's pool. Taking in the view, I can see how terrible the condition is. The floor and walls of the pool was really bad, so much so that the water changed color. Other forms of dirt fill the surroundings too.
"Ew!"
Reya obviously wasn't fond of the place, I noted from her expression but what else could I do now that we're here. This pool was one of the places that I remembered, it was a place that was abandoned originally. Knowing this well, I found it to be a good place to call upon Leviathan.
(This place sure is filthy, look even Reya Kusaka doesn't like it, do you think a magical girl like Serafall would like it?)
S.Sesa who could see the world outside from the gear world inside the Mask of Deception shared his opinion. I found his thoughts to be true but it was too late now.
(My instincts tell me that you're being watched, brat.) Ddraig added.
(You think so?) I asked the Dragon Emperor. 'Detect' didn't alert me to anything so I had to express my doubt, although, someone experienced like Ddraig would surely know better.
Ddraig said, (Hah! You're too naive. You maybe better than most but without your abyss world, your strength is like that of a low class devil. There is much for you to learn. I feel that someone has there eye on you but you're in no danger, yet.)
(Is no one going to care about the cleanliness of this place? I thought we were calling the Siscon Satan. Who knows what she'll do.) S.Sesa cut in.
Reya cut in straight after, "Are we going to call Satan here?"
"We are." I say, reaching into my blazer pocket. I take out the flyer that Tsubaki handed to me. This type of summoning circle isn't based on how much power I have or how much mana I need to inject into it, rather, it will work based on my personal desire.
I not sure if I can concentrate my will on one thing but if I can't do it on my own, I have my 'double' to help me out.
Holding the pamphlet in my hand, I concentrate. Concentrating with me is S.Sesa as well. I try to remember all I can about little Levi but 'Second Sesa' seems to have something else on his mind. Well, something more adult.
"It's working!" Reya exclaimed.
The pamphlet began to change, in fact, it was getting colder and colder. The imprint on the page disappeared and the page itself froze in my hand, next the manifestation of a magic circle covered the entirety of the pool area, almost.
I see Reya Kusaka shivering. Actually, I begin to feel cold as well, I realize that the temperature is dropping and the pool appears to be freezing over.
I had no time to react, all of a sudden a figure forms like an ice sculpture while the flyer started disintegrating like powder.
"So-chan! You finally invited me to your school. I thought I had to slap Sahariel a few times to see if I wasn't dreaming."
The sudden voice took me by surprise. I hadn't expected Serafall Leviathan call out Sona upon her arrival. This Satan must've come to the school at least once in the previous years, otherwise how else would she know that this is the place Sona resides.
"You're not So-chan, who are you? No one else should have my summoning imprint beside her."
I saw displeasure on Satan's face, although she looked adorable, I didn't have the time to admire. I indicated to Reya to step back as I saw Serafall spinning her magical girl's magical staff.
"Hold on. I'm, I was given your summoning imprint by Sona."
"Why would she give it to you? You still didn't tell me who you are." Serafall said coming right up to me.
Serafall was shorter than me but I still felt intimidated. I introduced myself to the second Satan I've met, "I'm Sesa Purusa, Sona's boyfriend."
DETECT!!!
The Mask of Deception rang in my head, danger was about to befall me. Without me realizing it, two small hands gripped my arms. My head started spinning afterwards. Serafall was literally shaking me back and forth.
She said, "How did that happen? She didn't even tell me, her cute sister."
"I... am... smar... ter...tha... her. That's... how... it...started." I let the information out as honestly as I could as Serafall shook me. Because I'm smarter than her, I became her boyfriend.
Serafall Leviathan stopped abruptly. While she held me up, her head turned away from me. Her attention had been drawn somewhere else. I, on the other hand, felt like throwing up and my brain gave me a headache
Satan then disappeared. I fell onto the ground, unable to hold my balance I stumble along. Where did Sona's sister go? I have no idea.
"Are you okay?" Reya asked, concerned.
"I'm fine" I replied, trying to stabilize myself. After a few moments, I was able to get some clarity.
A few steps away from Reya and I, Leviathan appears. This time she is holding a spear made of ice and on the ice rod, a person had been pierced through.
Looking at the scene with more clarity. I find Serafall naturally in her magical girl cosplay, in her hand, she is holding a magical staff. Behind her, a pair of bat-like wings are present and a thin long tail swinging to and fro at the lower end.
In Serafall's other hand, she has a long spear made entirely of ice. It pierced through the chest of another girl I recognize.
While the cosplay Satan elevates her victim of the ground, I see that the victim is someone that I've come across before. Dressed in a Gothic outfit with wings as black as the bottom of the ocean. The girl dying in front us was a fallen angel, she was the one that was present a few weeks ago when I fought against the stray exorcists. All of a sudden the fallen angel, Mittelt, is before me again.
Mittelt had gripped the ice pole jutting out of her chest. The fallen angel's hands were loosening, it clearly meant that her strength was fading. I saw Mittelt's mouth gaping, she was trying to breath but couldn't. Perhaps it would be better to say that she was struggling to gasp. The blonde fallen's eyes carried sincere shock and discontent.
Mittelt's eyes began to water as her life started fading, I saw her lips move. Was she trying to say something?
"I found a crow spying on in my sisters territory. I certainly can't let trouble befall her while I'm here." Serafall said angrily.
Thinking about it I said, "I don't think her target was Sona."
That may very well be the case. Most likely, Mittelt may have been waiting, waiting to check me out. I did do a number on the stray exorcists that she lead a while ago. Again I'm amazed by how my presence has changed the course of this worlds fate.
"Better safer than sorry." Serafall Leviathan says, letting go of the frozen spear.
Mittelt lands on her feet but without her strength, she falls onto her knees. I see she wants to scream, it must certainly be painful for her. Streams of water are flowing from the blonde girl's eyes. She's trying to say something, what is it?
"Die..."
"Die!" I repeated.
"I... don... t... wan... ta... die."
