The days flew past and it was finally time for Coldin to leave. He'd made plenty of memories during his time at the academy, some happy, some sad. This made leaving feel like his heart was being pulled apart but it was something he had to do.
You see one of the few things that Aunt Feng found Coldin with was a letter but being unable to read it Coldin never knew what it said, until he was taught at the academy.
The night before he was set to leave he read the letter again, trying to solidify his resolve to leave. A calm smile came onto Coldins face, as he read, this was something his mom left him along with his pendant that he wore around his neck religiously.
The letter spoke about his parents and explained that if he was reading this his mother was more than likely dead. While he could never meet her, the letter spoke of a place where he maybe able to meet his father, this place was called shrek academy and his father was an ex-student there.
Shrek academy, after the two years at the academy Coldin had a good understanding of it. It was an academy that stood the test of time. It only accepted monstrously talented spirit masters, ones who's potential where sky high. He also found that it was on another continent, which after talking to En Ci about it, he found it to be three months away by the best boat across deadly spirit beast territory's.
Coldin didn't have the money for the best boat therefore he had to take the long route, which meant a journey through the seas as well as some chains of islands both inhabited and not. This journey would take a considerable amount of time and was the reason why Coldin was leaving so soon. He wanted to reach shrek academy and enrol there which meant he needed to reach there before becoming thirteen as that was one of the conditions of enrolling as well as it having strict time frames for enrolment that almost seemed illogical.
Coldin knew this was he best chance at learning more about his family and he wasn't willing to let it slip through his grasp.
On the day of Coldin's departure the whole academy was there to see him off. They had learnt to respect this oddball if not for his power then for his help to their training.
Rows of people made a walkway allowing Coldin to pass through. Coldin was travelling light, as he had his things in his spirit bones storage, this made it seem like he was going for a stroll.
Everyone was quiet as he strolled down the path reaching the academy's gate. Standing by the gate was the original group that found him and Long Yue. He shared a brief nod with the two twins, hugged a crying Anna and shared some words with En Ci saying that he would be back while the other said he'd always have a home here.
Finally moving to Long Yue, he raised his arm giving him a high five before moving past him, while simple the sound it made boomed through the academy. Later this would be called the final beat of the madman's war drum by the students.
The only person left in front of Coldin was Chloe. She stood in a simple white dress that highlighted her pale purple hair. Walking over to her, when he was finally in reach Coldin kneeled down and hugged her before she could say anything. They stayed like this for a while before Coldin let go and moved past her not saying a word.
Chloe looked at Coldin's back as he walked into the distance. Then someone patted her on her shoulder "he'll be fine, it's the world I'm worried about" said En Ci in a joking tone to which everyone smiled watching the back of Coldin disappear from sight.
Sorry for the wait, had to do some editing as there was some things I wasn’t happy with and somethings that spoiled bits of the story.
Hope you enjoyed and stay tuned for more to come xP
