Bab 7: Familiar feeling
Inside the bathroom
Athena was still under the shower looking down as the soap mixed with water disappeared down the water. The water was quite cold but it was the only thing that could keep her calm.
She was confused.
Whatever happened today was quite similar to what happened in her previous life except for the few things that had changed which she had initiated herself.
She was scared of what if this is a dream or after she was killed she was in a coma and was going through this. She knew it was silly thoughts but she was confused at how was she reborn.
What if she was in hell and had to pay for wrongdoings so she was in a nightmare and she had to go through all the pain from her past life again and again
"Ugh" She finally gave up. She knew all that she was thinking was ridiculous but she wanted to know how come she was reborn.
She had read some romance novel before. Unexpectedly her mother was the one who gave those cringeworthy novels to her. It was so cliche.
This was all to seduce that bloody Jun Yi.
But she had read some stuff about rebirth in a romance novel and thought shouldn't her sister be reborn.
"Meh" what's done is done.
'I'l just try not to think of all the previous sh*t' Athena prep talked to herself as she dried her self and her clothes.
Unaware that her sister, Helen was looking at the bathroom door with a sullen look.
As soon as the door opened Helen's eyes lit up.
Athena was pleasantly surprised to see Helen. Looking at Helen's smile, Athena couldn't help but smile herself.
"Hey, glad to see you here. It is quite late so come on, let's quickly get to bed." Athena said enthusiastically.
In reply, Athena replied with a nod and a silly smile.
It might be weird for a 13yr old and 12yr old sleeping together. But both of them needed something...like a family, love, care and...just something.
"Story" Helen whispered. When she was young her mum would read and tell her stories she missed it so much. After she was gone she unexpectedly wanted to listen to stories from her someone.
Athena looked at her face.
Athena's bed was in the middle of the room. She had a seating area for two next to the window. While the bathroom door was on the opposite side of the room.
Right now the curtains were drawn back and the moonlight was hitting Helen's face. Athena's face was filled with nothing but affection for her younger sister.
'Damn how can she look so cute' Athena pinched her cheek and started telling her a story.
About a girl who went through a lot of trouble and faced her fears and lived her life with a normal family.
As Athena told her story to her sister she reached her hand out and started caressing Helen's hair.
Helen was soon asleep as a familiar feeling washed over her. It has been a long while since she had felt this. She had the most peaceful sleep that night.
...
On the other hand, Athena continued to stroke her hair.
Oh, what had she not been through in her past life? In the end, she was turned in to a ruthless woman trying to fend for her life.
She had turned cold from all the pain and suffering she had experienced. In front of her 'parent,' it seemed as she was fine. But only she knew how much hatred she had for her 'parents', that bastard, human, basically everyone except for her sister.
It was as if she was given hope for living. How much had Helen suffered because of her?
Athena's eyes swirled with affection as she saw her face.
'Her sister was so pretty.' She thought as her eyes closed her eyes and continued to stroke her hair.
Athena's hand stopped stroking Helen's hair as she fell into a slumber. Her hand rested on Helen's hair right above her ear.
Helen snuggled closer to Athena's warm body and Athena shifted slightly for Helen. She was 40% awake. This was a habit she had developed from the experience she had gone through.
Whenever Helen shifted, Athena would move slightly to let her sleep in the most comfortable position possible.
