Bab 6: No sleep.
After walking down and acting a bit distant in front of the helper/serves.
Athena knew her mother would probably pay people to keep an eye on her and Helen. Her father also wouldn't be spared from her mother's spying.
She trusted no-one.
No-one.
...
"Ah. I was just going to come and see you. But I didn't want to disturb your sisterly bonding time." Maria walked down the stairs as her voice rang out in the lounge area. Helen just nodded and smiled without thinking about her statement.
Whereas Athena smirked in her heart. Of course, she knew that her mother was looking at fancy dresses and pieces of jewelry. Her mother was basically itching to spend money.
Afterward, Helen stood up and left for her room giving an excuse. Letting Athena have some time to chat with her mother. This was already planned.
The 'mother and daughter' also left together to talk.
"She is really lonely and I think we could be friends. She doesn't know me that well, so we didn't talk much." Athena informed her mother acting as she was really on her side.
"I know, she is just like her bastard mother. Acting innocent and all. You know your father actually loved me back when we were in college." Maria replied in anger. "If she didn't come to him with her money and family name we would have been together." Anger, disdain, and envy were clearly visible on her face.
Athena's lip's slightly curved. 'Come on mum you know it too, you came in between in their relationship and you wouldn't even approach if he didn't have that money which was given to him from Helen's mum for his career.' Obviously, Athena didn't say that out loud. Her inner demon was retorting silently in her mind.
"I know mum" Athena replied with care evident on her face for her mother.
"Mum. I.I. I know, I shouldn't be saying this... But you should try to get me a younger brother so you can secure yourself in the family. Athena said with embarrassment.
"I know love. You're so caring towards your mother." She was very happy with this statement.
In her past life, Maria suggested this to her and she was unhappy at how much her mother wanted a son. But this time she couldn't care less.
"Mum I'll try to get close to Helen. So you can quickly give me a younger brother" said Athena.
"Sure love," Maria said. Inside her heart, she was laughing at Athena for her foolishness.
The latter was doing the same when she saw her mother. Not trying to be narcissistic but she was pretty good at reading people, so she knew what her mother was thinking.
In the next hour of conversation, they planned that they will try to make the sister's bond closer, they will have a sleepover.
That's exactly what happened.
At dinner when the 'family' was having dinner. The mother brought up the topic of Athena and if she liked her room. Athena replied with 'how she was new to sleep alone in a room and how scary it was. Therefore they decided that Helen will accompany her sister at night until Athena gets used to sleeping alone.
Helen agreed dully, but inside she was exploding from excitement and admiration. Her sister is so cool to let Maria make that decision.
Without even realizing her faith and affection for her sister increased immensely.

When Athena saw the clear affection oozing out of Helen she nearly laughed out loud. Luckily the couple didn't notice the affection releasing from Helen or the slight laugh form Athena. This was because they were to busy sending each other flirty gazes.
With clear affection from Helen, Athena knew tonight, she would get no sleep.
After dinner, the couple went to their room and both sisters went to their own room.
As soon as Helen entered her room she rushed to take a bath and change into her night clothes, to see her sister as quickly as possible. There was a skip in her steps which clearly showed that she was happy. This is if you couldn't notice the big smile on her face.

Helen knocked and immediately entered her sister's room with a huge smile.
As soon as she saw what was inside the room her smile vanished. She had a very sad expression. It was as if her dog had died.
Nonetheless, she walked to the bed and sat down with a sad smile as she stared at one particular direction.

The country I live in is the most ahead in time (don't know it makes sense).
So usually post on Thursday. But we had two days for teachers only day and the queen's birthday.
