Bab 190: Obscured Identity

As soon as Lei Xing walked through the doors of the royal study, she saw the Emperor smiling at her. Some of her irritation ebbed as her heart jumped. She returned an awkward smile before lowering her head as she stopped and bowed.

{...As expected, this is still kind of awkward! (⁄⁄>⁄ω⁄< ⁄)⁄...}

"Come up." The Emperor smilingly said. Lei Xing glanced up at him and then slowly climbed up the short flight of stairs and stopped in front of his desk.

The Emperor raised an eyebrow at her and looked at her curiously. All day, he had been imagining her arriving here and shyly, but happily rushing into his arms. But now she stood there with the some odd, somewhat upset expression on her face, she said, "You sent for me..."

The Emperor knit his brows. She was smiling and kissing him a few hours ago, and even made a joke this morning, but now she was behaving like this? He was not going to allow her to pull away again and so he got up and approached her.
