Bab 25: You never asked
Ren Shiyuan's back was aching so badly when he got up. He didn't expect that Nian Jiezhen was so strong.
"Princess..."
Nian Jiezhen raised a brow, "Who's your princess? Mr. Ren, please get your clothes and leave."
His lips were stretched into a thin line. He picked his clothes and started wearing them.
After wearing his clothes back, Ren Shiyuan picked his wig. He looked at it for a short while, he wanted to explain but seeing Nian Jiezhen's murderous look, it made him hard to tell her.
"What are you waiting for? Leave."
Ren Shiyuan sighed inwardly. It was going to be hard for him. After wearing his wig back, he took his sling bag and walked towards the door. "Just so you know, this has always been my disguise to escape from the reporters."
"Oh?" Nian Jiezhen turned to him with a blank look on her face. "If that's the case, then why didn't you tell me?"
"I never tell my real gender to anyone, I let them find it out themselves." He took his coat and wore it. "I never lied to you. I never said that I was a woman. I never admitted it even once. I've always told you that I am straight. Aside from that, I have always been truthful to you, everything I've told you was real."
Nian Jiezhen lowered her head, he was right, it was she who assumed that he was actually a girl. She never suspected him to be a man even with all the pieces of evidence before her. She was a profiler and yet she wasn't able to see through him. She felt so ashamed of it.
"Nian Jiezhen, I was really serious when I told you that I want to try dating you."
She raised her head and looked at him with a blank look on her eyes. "Are you done? Will you take your leave now?"
Ren Shiyuan felt a painful prick in his heart when he saw her looking at him that way. The adorable and sweet girl that was he was flirting with earlier was gone.
"About this coming Friday..." Ren Shiyuan trailed off. He looked at her and smiled a bit, "I can still help you with your parents."
She clenched her fists tight, glaring coldly at him. "No thanks, I don't need your help. I don't want to see your face so please leave."
In the end, Ren Shiyuan wasn't able to do anything, he quietly left her place.

Xia Meilin was about to take a nap when Nian Jiezhen suddenly came in her room. "Did you know?"
She sat up and looked at Nian Jiezhen. "Huh?"
"Ren Shiyuan is a guy. Did you know that?" Nian Jiezhen asked coldly as she crossed her arms.
"Oh..." She lied down on her bed again and hugged a pillow. "Yes, I do."
Nian Jiezhen narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth. "Why didn't you told me?"
"You never asked. Besides, we were never friends in the first place so why should I tell you? It's not my fault that you've mistaken him for a girl."
She clenched her fists tightly as she continued on glaring at Xia Meilin. Even if Xia Meilin was telling the truth, Nian Jiezhen felt annoyed by her.
She could clearly see that Xia Meilin was playing around with her and because of that, she never told her about the truth of Ren Shiyuan's identity.
She turned and shut her door with a bang!
Nian Jiezhen was feeling so frustrated. All this time, she was feeling confused and at the same time, she didn't know what to do.
What should she do now? Why was she feeling so suffocated? Why was her chest in pain?
She was angry at Ren Shiyuan, she has already accepted the fact that she was bent by him and she was already a lesbian and yet, the same day she accepted that fact, she found out that he was actually a guy.
How dare he play with her? Did he think that she was an easy woman?
She has shared a kiss and a hug with him, all this time, it wasn't a woman, it was actually a guy so that means that she was still straight right? She hasn't bent yet so that should be a good thing, right?
Just then, her phone started ringing, it was a call from her mother.
Nian Jiezhen wasn't in a mood to answer the call but knowing her mother, she would continue to call her until she answered, Nian Jiezhen accepted the call.
"Hello?"
"Zhen'er, we're going to meet you at Boeucc on Friday, okay?" reminded Jing Wanru.
"Hn."
"Your father is excited to see you so make sure to dress prettily for him, okay?"
"Okay."
Although Nian Jiezhen already knew that her parents were planning to arrange a blind date for her. Just by the excited tone on Jing Wanru's voice, she had guessed that her parents were finally able to find someone for her.
