Bab 57: A week passes at the library..
As time passed at the library.. the range of books she had absorbed grew..
and with it her comprehension of the world. From the macro... space, the cosmos with the intricacies of its framework and the theories behind it all. To the micro.. her own bodies biology down to the cellular level and monitoring of its functions and the treatment of its ails.
She had the learnt wonders of botany, mathematics, aerospace, civil, chemical and geological engineering.
But not just that, she could see the connections, the links that exist between it things everywhere..
The first benefit of all this new understanding was her ability to evaluate and control her own vitality. As she tended the books within the library, she would observe the fluctuations within her bodies systems eg, within her limbic system with its neural pathways - she now observed how it controlled changes in her mood and could forestall and choose an alternative mood if she wished..
She was in control and no longer the controlled.
With an increased interest in the human body and its workings, she began focusing more on reading medical texts.
She was in the midst of reading a text on gene therapy when she saw Zoya appear on her floor of the library walking toward her with the Lieutenant..
Pamela.. Zoya said.. you have to let us take you from this boring place..
