"Sir, a human has been brought into Mydril." "What's his name?" asked the man. "His name is Ace and possesses the Steal ability." "Where is he right now?" questioned the man. "He is currently in the Grand Plains with Gerald, sir." "Very well, it couldn't hurt to pay him a visit."
"Alright you may already know but mythical creatures exist in Mydril, like flying fish, dragons, unicorns, etcetera." shouted Gerald. "Lissy said that my brain would explode if I ever saw dragon, how the heck is that even possible?" I asked. "Well your human mind isn't used to seeing mythical creatures so your brain can't comprehend how large and terrifying a dragon is, therefore making your brain explode." said Lissy. "Thank you Lissy, ahem, that's one of the reasons why your mind must be trained and to do so you must meditate." "By meditating you are exercising the brain, it will help you control your ability and increase the effectiveness of your ability." I closed my eyes. I tried not thinking about anything but I had a lot on my mind. Will I ever learn to use my ability? What will I do after I master my ability? Then I decided to just let go and think about nothing. Then in my mind I saw a mental image. It was a strange symbol that looked like a bird. It was constantly changing color, from black to white. Then I saw flashes of red, blue, yellow, green all being absorbed by the bird symbol. I opened my eyes. I was no longer in the plains. I was in a bed, I stood up. I looked around the room and noticed a few strange items. There was a glass orb being held on a wooden staff. On the floor were piles of smelly clothes, on the walls were pictures of Gerald and a women next to him, she was holding a baby.
"You're finally awake." I looked to my right. Gerald was standing at the door looking at me then at the photo briefly. "What happened to me." I asked. "Well the moment you closed your eyes you started glowing a bright white. Then your body became limp and I carried you back to my home." "Oh I see, I'm very sorry for what happened sir." I said apologetically. "Don't worry kid, so anyways, what happened when you closed your eyes." Before I could reply Lissy bursted into the room knocking over Gerald. "Ow!" Shrieked Gerald. "Are you all right, what happened to you." Asked Lissy. "Well I feel fine, just a little tired, and when I closed my eyes I saw what looked like a bird." Gerald got up and looked deeply into my eyes, "Looks like it already made it's choice." "What do you mean?" I asked. "It's nothing." I knew Gerald was lying but I got the feeling Gerald doesn't want to talk about it. Gerald left the room and it was just me and Lissy left. "What's up with Gerald." I asked. "I really have no clue but I trust that everything is alright." she replied. "Can I ask you something?" she said. "Yeah, sure." I said. "What exactly did the bird look like?" she asked. "Well it had large wings and a triangle shaped beak, it didn't really have a body but it was hovering sort of like a ghost." She gazed into my eyes and she stood there for what seemed like forever until she left the room. I was extremely confused but decided not to question it since everything in this world is confusing. The door opened. I was expecting Lissy or Gerald to explain to me what was going on. But instead there was a man who looked like he was in his late 20s or early 30s. He had long blonde hair, blue eyes, and he was in an old looking three-piece suit. There was a notable scar right above his left eye brow which was still leaking blood. "W-who are you." "I see, I guess you haven't heard of me but my name is Mondred and I'm intrigued by your ability, I'm sure well make great aquiantences."
