Bab 9: No Sleep *Jaclyn*
After Rose left, I couldn't think of anything to do, so I ran down to the kitchen and saw my mother yelling at someone over the phone. I snuck back upstairs to my room. I still needed something to do, so I went into the attic. I found an old photo album and looked through it. I saw a man who held me as a baby and took care of me. I noticed the rings that my mother and the man were wearing, but then, my mother doesn't wear a ring.
'Is he.... my father?' I thought as I heard mom say
"Dinnertime!"
I got out of the attic and hid the book in my room. Then, ran downstairs and sat at the table with my brother and mother. We had meatloaf tonight.
"Jackie?"
"Huh? Yes, mom?"
"Is something on your mind?"
"No."
I ate in silence as my family spike about this and that. When we finished, I went back in my room and looked through the photo album again.
-at 10PM-
I was still looking through photos and I was extremely tired. I was parched and a little hungry, so I walked downstairs. Some lights were on and the door was unlocked. I thought my mother was outside, because she's done it before, so I went into the kitchen. I got a left over piece of meatloaf and heated it up. Then, my mother walked in the kitchen and she scared me enough, I fell.
