Bab 24: Merging
Leon always thought about specialize on alchemy, doing so would sped up his body tempering. While he was in the system world, he wanted to finish the five stages of body tempering. After finishing five stages of body tempering, he would need powerful medicines for further improving his body tempering and he also had a portable garden with him. So he choose it.

When Leon choose alchemy, he could feel a new network connected to his soul artifact. In this network, there weren't missions to kill monsters or bandits but there were things for exchange. Exchanging resources and knowledge with others. Leon could see there were all kinds of recipes of pills, elixirs and even poisons. Leon also saw there were all kinds of magical plants and herbs were being sold. Leon with his money bought a few yin and yang attributed ones and planted them in his portable garden.
Leon copied the books from the academy and among them, there were also about the alchemy. Leon didn't need to memories the content of them. Because he had a connection with his soul artifact, he would naturally would know them. But he didn't have practical experiences about the alchemy so he needed to practice but first he needed to buy a cauldron. He could buy from the network but they were all expensive and he didn't have much system world currency aside from his quest and after buying a few magical plants he was more need money.
Leon didn't leaved the captives alone, he accompanied them to the city. During the walk Leon didn't talk much and they weren't very far from the city and in a couple of hours they arrived at the gates. Leon told the guards about their circumstances, after telling Leon didn't wanted to waste too much time and went to the forest to make more money.
While Leon was making money through the missions, the seed completely merged with his soul artifact.
"Organize the knowledge." Leon gave his first command to the book of knowledge. The book was fully operational at the moment and Leon finally had his portable tower spirit. The book of knowledge also could copy knowledge available to his clearance from network. But Leon didn't want to do that at the moment because he knew that would take too much time and mental energy.
Monetary rewards were piling in his inventory but he didn't find any missions with ability as reward. He thought maybe he needed have an inventory so the system gave him one. While the book of knowledge was organizing the data, Leon choose missions from adventurer network and continue to hunt monsters.
Leon returned from his hunting spree in the evening to the city and he found an inn which had a place for mounts and he entered his room. In the room, Leon sat down to his bed and started view his book of knowledge. The book of knowledge already finished organizing the knowledge. And he started draw information from the adventurer network, it would take too much time but Leon didn't know the areas which had yin-yang attributed resources. As he was drawing information from the network, he hoped to find more about them.
After about two hours he found the information that he needed. There was a magical fruit which called Twilight apple, it had both yin and yang in equilibrium and its essence was dense, so it was a good choice for Leon.
Leon looked whereabouts of the fruit but it was growing inside of a dungeon. Leon learned about the dungeons, the system world would create the dungeons to further eliminate the weak livings and give them rewards for passing the trials. The consciousness of the system world was proactive and would give rewards to whom deserved and it would eliminate the weak. The dungeons were one the trials which made by the system world.
The dungeon which had the twilight apple was near Leon. Aside from twilight apple there were all kinds of resources which can only be found in this dungeon. After finding about this dungeon, Leon decided to go there in the morning.

At the noon Leon was looking at the dungeon with Hermes. Leon thought dungeon would look like a cave from outside but it didn't look like that. The dungeon was looking like a ancient city ruins filled with fog. The walls of the city was looking ruined and a few building which was high enough also looking ruined.
Leon already learned the name of this dungeon and it was called Elgard ruins. It was a city in ancient times but it was deserted for unknown reason and consciousness of the world turned it to a dungeon to test the living beings of the world.
The entrance of the dungeon was filled with stalls which was selling camping equipments and basic necessities and a few adventurers was selling maps which they drew. There were also some adventurers who was looking for teammates to pass the trials with teamwork.
Leon didn't know what he could encounter in the dungeon so it would be better for him to find a few teammates but in the system world level was the criteria for the strength. Leon's level wasn't high so there would be a team willing to take him in.
"Do you planned to enter the dungeon?" asked someone to Leon from his behind.
Leon turned and looked, there were three people who was looking at him and Hermes. Leon nodded to them.
"My name is Heinz. We was looking for a teammate to run for the dungeon. You have a griffon as a pet and I wanted to invite you to our team."
"My name is Leon and my level is 7, is it okay me to join you?" asked Leon. Whatever their reasons for inviting him, he was okay with it.
Heinz nodded, and they started to introduce themselves. Aside form Heinz, Theo and Cole were their names and they were also low leveled. They were looking for techniques that hid inside of the dungeon for strengthen themselves. Leon also said them he needed twilight apple. Their interest didn't intersect so without wasting much time they entered the dungeon.
When Leon passed through the gate of the dungeon, he could smell blood and mold in the air. After walking a bit into the dungeon, Leon noticed that the dungeon was more like a maze rather than a city. They didn't encounter any monsters as soon as they entered.
"The entrance area of the dungeon is a safe point and monsters would come." Theo explained. Leon nodded, he also heard somethings about the safe spaces in the dungeons. The team didn't wander around the safe zone but they continued deeper into the dungeon. The team went to the deeper while Heinz was on the front. Heinz wasn't a powerful adventurer but he was proficient in detecting enemy and traps, after him was Cole and finally Theo and Leon.
As they were walking, Heinz raised his hand to stop the rest of the team. Leon spread his senses in front of him and he saw monsters was in front of them. The monsters was called winged wolves and they were like their name. Aside from the monsters there was a chest in the area. Leon knew that the dungeon would give you rewards via these chest in the dungeon. Theo went to the front and took an arrow and aimed one of the wolves. When he released the arrow, the rest of the team run towards the wolves without giving them any time to understand what was happening. Leon also joined to the assault and they cleared the area. Heinz went to open the chest and the rest of the team looked around the houses to find anything worthy but they didn't find. Leon didn't have much interest what would come out of the chest because he knew that he could only find the twilight apple deeper into the dungeon.
