In truth, the militia also aided in Talia getting kidnapped by Ralph.

And so, she didn't want to let go of the Basmian Government for letting the militia go rampant and not warning against her people against visiting places where there are known militant activities. 

Since her tour was something the whole world was interested in, her kidnapping was already a trending topic. It brought out many low-life tabloid articles, but it was more impactful than that.
