In a remote and simple town near the unknown forest, a little girl was sitting playing by herself. Her strange eyes always caused for people to stare at her making her feel uncomfortable. She usually played by herself away from the other kids in the orphanage. Many of the children kept their distance as well since the strange little girls constantly woke up at night screaming causing the other kids to think she was a demon or possessed by one.
On this day an official came to the orphanage. His job was to test the children in hopes of finding talents to be raised by prestigious families. This man was tall and imposing with a scar on his face, but he had a kind aura and smile that many children liked. Is was usual for him to come at least once a month. The little girl had turned 5 the previous month which would include her into the tests. The man had his eyes on the little girl since she came here mainly because her eyes showed that she was special. He had asked about her circumstances. There was not a lot of information that the man could gather besides that an unknown man had dropped her off here and told them to take care of her leaving with her a sizable donation. He was also told about her constant nightmares that left the child screaming in the middle of the night.
The little girl sat on a swing by herself. Her lonely figure stood out amongst the other happy children. She looked down at the sand under her small feet that barely reached the ground. She heard crunching on the sand and saw two nicely polished black shoes. The tall man knelt and smiled kindly at the little girl.
"Kaylen." He called out sweetly to the little girl. She slowly lifted her head and looked at the man.
"Hello, Master Ashton." Her twinkling voice sounded out. Jin Ashton looked down at the exquisite looking little girl. She looked just like a little doll. He knelt to speak to her.
"Do you want to take some tests with me?"
"Will it be hard?"
Jin chuckled, "No, dear. It's just a simple test."
She slowly slid down from the swing and followed closely behind the tall man.
They entered a room with floor to ceiling windows. In the room were two other officials. One woman and man. "This is Julie and Kyle. They will help out with the tests okay." Kaylen just looked at them without any emotion.
"Okay let's begin." He reached out to hold the little girl's hand. She hesitated a little before she placed her small white hand in his large tan ones.
"Now just think about your body. If you feel a cool or warm feeling that seems to move within you try to touch it with your thoughts."
The little girl closed her eyes and thought about what the man said. She felt a warm current within her. Her small mind tried to feel for it mentally. She thought of moving it with her mind and it shifted to her thoughts.
"Your doing great." The man held her small hand and placed his fingers on her wrist. He sent a small current of his spirit into her body to study her physique. Everything seemed normal until he reached her source. A sudden hurricane unleashed and pushed him out. It was so much force that it knocked him off his feet. This frightened the little girl. Her eyes flew open wide glistening and were glowing with different colors of blues and greens. The sight was beautiful and unsettling.
She hugged her little body stumbling toward the wall. When she reached it, she slid down against it hugged her small legs. "I'm sorry, sorry…"
Jin could hear her small voice laced with fear. He was surprised. What he felt in her little body was something he could never imagine. "It's alright. Look I'm okay. Just tripped a little." He tried to coax her. He went and squatted down in front of her.
"Stay away…" she complained as her teary eyes stared up at him, "Go away…"
Before she could say anything, her eyes turned into dark blue pools that seemed to suck everything into them. Without warning a powerful pressure engulfed the room.
"Stay away!" Kaylen screamed as she pushed Jin away from her. Her tiny strength couldn't even move him a step away. Her small body glowed brightly before disappearing from their sights.
