Bab 4: How Boar Hunting
It has been 6 months since l came here. It is winter season and snow falls occasionally. It is a mountain area with short summer that are moderately cold and bone chilling winters. I have been going through hellish training everyday apart from the training apart from what was provided to me by the kodan Ninja. I was the first among the childrens going through training to experience the flow of chakra. Once I was training secretly I destroyed a wood log with my bare punch. My strength speed endurance has increased from training but that was something entirely different. This accident happened 4 months ago. Since then I have been careful in my control and use of chakra. Some of the others also showed the sign by the end of 5th month of training but it was nothing eye catching. Only the Ninja responsible for our training noticed it.
After these events, we were called in the training ground. one of the leaders came with his attendants. He was sorting out those who did not had talent for chakra. Only a few of the remaining kids showed some talent for chakra and ninja training. Rest were then transferred to another Ninja for their combat training to essential become a bandit. Of course those childrens did not knew about that than. We were then inspected by the higher ups and then were handed over to our two new teacher.
"You all will be learning to use weapons and taijutsu from now on from me." one of them said in stern voice.
"I will be teaching you Ninjutsu" said the other one with a gentle voice. Everyone of us had only one thought,' these two are weird duo.' My Ninjutsu instructor came close to me and murmured, "you have quite the chakra" and left. That caught me off guards.
Though I was able to keep up, training that week was extremely tough. We were made to do exercises till the zenith of our body in the morning. A little more than what I did alone. From noon to evening we were forced to meditate and practice Kenjutsu and Bukijutsu.
In Bukijutsu we only learned to throw shurikens. No related techniques or skill were taught. In Kenjutsu we only learn how to use a a single edged straight sword, and about throwing knife and kunai.
From this week onwards we were taught some jutsus. Rope escape technique was the first to be taught. It was easy, others were also able to do it in a week. The next jutsu we were taught was cloak invisibility technique. This technique allows the user to take a cloak or a piece of cloth to blend into an object, making them invisible.
' I can use this technique to spy on people.' was my thought process. It took me 10 days to learn this technique yet it was not perfect for spying as things like sound and smell can give me away to the enemy.
Then I learned one of the most useful technique in my life, Body Flicker Technique. By using the Body Flicker Technique, a ninja can move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination. I perform something similarly when I vitalised my body with chakra to increase my strength. We were then put on a new training schedule for the next 2 months. In this period I mastered all three jutsus and increased my chakra reserves due to continuous training in body flicker jutsus. It produces a lot of strain on both body and mind. This continued for the scheduled two months and then the next day.
I was given 15 shurikens and 3 kunai. Same weapons were given to others. They ordered us to hunt a boar any way possible instead of harvesting medicinal plants. I decided to hunt alone.
' who would take their responsibility. They will only hinder my way. I can also test my own abilities. '
Some of the other trainees wanted to hunt with me but I ignored them.
" Will you-"
"Not interested" and I walked away.
I was deep in the snow covered woods when I came across the footprints of a boar while I was searching for him. It was hard to find them. I followed them all the while sneaking behind trees and bushes. After trailing its footprints for a while I saw it. Big round body walking on four pillar like legs covered in dense fur. That thing was 5 feet in height and 7 feets in length. It's tusk were almost half its length.
"This is going to be tough. Is this supposed to be a joint efforts? That thing can bring down a tree with a tackle." and so it did in front of me to bring down a honey bee hive.
*thud*
" I jinxed myself and I have to kill it with kunai and shurikens."
I body flickered behind a tree facing towards its back and threw two shurikens at his butt. Both hit the spot but did not penetrated deep. Though it agitated the boar and focused it's rage on me.

It charged towards me at an incredible speed. I moved out of his path as fast as I could. This beast brought down another tree which was my supposed cover.
" It used chakra!" I snapped myself out of the shock and climbed up on a tree. "cannot complain life is a bitch" I said and threw two more shurikens aimed at his eyes as soon as he turned around. Boar blocked both with his tusks and charged at the tree I was at. I hopped on another tree using body flicker.
I started throwing shurikens at his eyes hoping to flinch him. He would deflect most of them and another tree would fall victim to him. Shurikens were stuck on his body and they had their effects but not considerable enough. I only had seven shurikens left.
"This is going nowhere" Then it clicked. As soon as he came under this tree I slide down all the snow on him and I jumped on him simultaneously with kunai in both my hands. I landed on top of him and embedded both kunai in his neck. Also his momentum rushed him into the tree which was a cherry on top.
The boar was on his knees but still alive. I was struggling to hold on to the kunai and my body was in pain all over.
"You will die here!!" I screamed hardening my will. I let go of one of my hands to fetch the other kunai. Boar was partially conscious and tried to throw me off him. This became a contest of strength with both of our lives on the line. I flowed all the chakra left to strengthen me. With all force I struck down kunai on top of his skull and it pierced his head.
