Bab 17: The Settlement
We slept in today because of yesterday's move. But today is a big day, we are to decide the system that will run our camp. We all met in the cafeteria where we took a vote on what kind of government we would have. We got a book on governments from the library where everyone would write the type of government they want down on a piece of paper and then we counted the ballots. "We counted the votes and the results are, we will be a indirect democracy. We The Generals will lead the camp but all major decisions are voted on." I declared. "If you want anything changed around here, write down a request to have a settlement council meeting" added Jake.
"With that out of the way we can finally relax," I sighed, Then the loud roar of diesel engines made us silent. Us Generals rushed to the roof to see the commotion, Two 18 wheelers with livestock units on the back came barreling past the school but quickly stopped at the entrance to the skating rink. The passenger got out of the first truck and yelled ate the drivers of the trucks, "Come on back em' into the parking lot!" the trucks eased into the parking lot and the guy we saw come to the rink before came out of the last truck and let the other go back to his truck. This guy then went to the back of the trucks and opened both doors before sprinting back into the truck. As the guy closed the driver side door, zombies flooded out of the units on the backs of the truck. The trucks then barreled out of there and away from the school.
