Bab 15: Confusing times
Josh was just starring out in empty space, and Tom continued: [I have ordered some norwegian fish for us to raise in one of the pools, we have a lot of food for them as well, and I got some materials to make the whole site heat, radiation and explosive secured, so no one will discover any traces of living in here, you don't need to use a radiation suit inside and the building would be unharmed even if a tank shoot at it. So how was school?]
Josh just said what any other student would say with a tired: "Long and tiring, though it was interesting. So how long was I gone, and any new things I should know about"? Tom was silent for a moment before he said: [Well, you were gone for eleven and a half months, your boss fired you, you no longer own the apartment in town, humanity have lost connection to Sweden, Greenland and some African countries. Many countries have discovered that something is going on, and as such, it is prohibited to travel aboard. Oh, by the way, because the prediction system wasn't completely accurate, I have just discovered that because of some actions taken by a curious group, other parallel dimensions will merge with yours].
Josh was surprised and asked: "I have several questions, like how did we lose connection with all those countries, which group who did what and what is that prediction system you mentioned"? Tom answered in his usual digital voice: [Not many people travels to those countries, and they were suddenly infected with the bacteria made of the virus, and some information is withheld from the public. The group is called "The Occult Rose" or "TOR" for short. And the prediction system is one of many parts of me, like the appraisal system. It has an accuracy at 99.99%, so I would never have expected a dimensionmerge. Because of this, many unexpected things will happen, such as something like a game system where people can see stats and such, get different kind of classes and a few can use magic, though that will take them a while to learn. You might be one of those who will learn this].
Josh was once again surprised and asked: "I still have several questions, if not more now, like people will get game like stats and magic, different classes and how can "TOR" do something like this"? Tom just said: [Who said "TOR" was from your world? They are a magic group who wants to be mighty and rule a lot of subordinates, or so the rumours say, though no one truly knows. And yes, people will get a game system. Though it will be extremely hard for them, some beast will also get a system which will make them stronger and smarter]. Josh went to the kitchen to get something to drink, which ended up as a coke, drank it and then asked: "So what will this magic be like"? Tom just said: [Like all the novels you have read].
Josh: "So people can spit fire, summon beasts and conjure food etc"? Tom: [Yes, though they have to pay the price in mana, blood, souls, items or all of them. It is a hard subject, and I don't have any teacher for you that can teach you magic, so you are on your own with that]. Josh decided to rest for the rest of the day and play some games and watch the news, unaware that some people was observing him through magic and other means. Neither did Tom, his system and friend.
