Bab 48: Save
When Starlight ran to Daniel with the speed of light, Jack's bullet missed Daniel. Thanks to Starlight, the bullet diverted. Daniel was shocked that the gun was aiming for him.
Starlight opened her eyes and asked Daniel, " Are you okay, Daddy? You're not hurt, right?" Daniel held onto Starlight hand and pulled her close to his side.
"I'm okay, Starlight. Were you hurt?" Asked Daniel.
"I'm okay. The guy was wearing a black jacket and black cap." Daniel signalled David and James as they went to get more information.
I ran to Starlight and hugged her, "Starlight, you are safe. I'm happy you are alive." I cried. Starlight hugged me back.
"Mommy, don't cry. I am safe. I saved daddy!" Starlight was happy Daniel was safe.
Elaine and Shanshan brought the kids back to safety. They were shocked by the whole situation.
Thanks to Starlight's quick observance that Daniel was saved.
"Sorry, Starlight. Mommy wasn't careful." I said. Starlight shook her head. "Mommy, you were busy before. It's my turn to help." I kissed Starlight and hugged her. Starlight to went to Daniel's side later on.
"Daddy, it's okay. I am safe." Starlight comforted Daniel. Starlight kissed Daniel on the cheeks. Starlight went to Elaine and Shanshan to get some snacks. They were proud and surprised because of Starlight's smart move that diverted Jack's bullet.
As we went back to the ship for safety, Starlight sat on Daniel's lap as we went back to the cabin. We decided it's better to stay on the ship for now.
Starlight unpacked her stuff and went to take a shower while I helped her getting a change of clothes.
While we all finished, Elaine and the other came to our suite and stayed with us for a while.
David and James told us that they caught Jack and the local police came after hearing the ruckus about the gunshot.
Thankfully, Jack has been caught.
For the rest of the trip, we can finally play well and relax.
