Eve had spent the past week sifting through the contents of the underground junkyard.
Even though she had yet to find what she was looking for, she decided that since she was going through everything anyway, she might as well clean and organize as she went along.
There was plenty of dead bodies, mostly from the same 3 or 4 same species. Eve didnt know where she would find any other clothes at, so she decided to strip them all of their clothes, and pile them up depending on their apparant species.
Eve wanted to give them more respect, but she didnt know their name so this was the best she could do until she found some time to bury them.
She had remembered that her people bury their dead in the ground, or burn them.
She didnt think burning stuff down here was a great idea, simply because she didnt know how good the ventilation was down here.
She had noticed that after thinking about the ventilation of this underground space, while she would occasionally sneeze at alot of dust and dirt, she had absolutely no problem breathing down here.
Eve had found this fact to be rather odd. Afterall didnt her species need alot of Oxygen to breath? Did this place actually have oxygen?
She put these questions in the back of her mind and decided to store them there for later to answer at a later date when she had more information.
Time continued going by, Eve kept cleaning and organizing as she went through the rubble.
Slowly, ever so slowly, the place that was ok once seemed an underground junkyard by her was starting to look like a giant collection of weapons, parts, and mecha.
Eve decided she hadn't talked to Sirobo in a while, so she went over and booted up the current mecha she residing in that had a stable power source for her to operate on.
"Sirobo, I haven't been able to find you a body yet. Do you think perhaps that it's maybe impossible to find one down here for you?" Eve asked the AI rather dejectedly with a frown hanging from her face.
"Master, it might be better if we make a mobile compartment for me to be stored in, so I can go everywhere with you." The AI named Sirobo responded with a somewhat plausible solution in mind.
"That's a great idea! How do I do that?" Eve asked Sirobo, her words filled with enthusiasm at being more productive and useful.
"Well first you must find some more data that can help us, try going through all the still semi functional machines and exporting the data through a small chip called a "Data Report Card". That way even if it's somewhat need to know or safeguarded information you can still export it from those said systems and bring it here to this mecha to input it into the Objective Breifing Card slot." Sirobo explained like a proper big sister would to her little one.
Eve's eyes lit up, and she listened to the in depth process that explained exactly how to do this.
After being thoroughly schooled by her AI friend on the process of pilfering data, Eve immediately set to work on her newest task.
Running around to and fro, Eve was like a ant scuttling about these grounds.
"Finally! That's the 23rd one... I wonder if this is enough yet? I won't know if I dont ask. Right?" She said as she kicked open the mechas door in her way out, with no care for the poor mecha she had just defiled even further.
"^Lalalala-La! Didodido-Dum! Honey are you mad? I dont like that! Oh my buttercup, please dont give me that look~ Wont you be happy? I'm your little bumble-bee~^" Eve sang this catchy song that was stuck in her head as she made her way back to the Mech that Sirobo currently resided in. After crawling inside the "Gumreaper" she powered up the systems interface, after waiting a moment, Sirobos enthusiastic voice resounded throughout the cockpit.
"I was lonely after waiting for so long. Oh my I just checked the internal time logs! Its been 17 hours! Did you get any rest?" The Ai asked fretfully.
Eve was the only one who came to replenish her energy capsules and take the time to converse with her afterall. So if Eve left...
She imagined that her data would eventually completely corrupt and she'd essentially die!
Powering down forever, or having ones data corrupted so much to the point of unusable, was basically like death for a computer program AI like herself!
Sirobo decided she couldn't let that happen, and that's why she wanted Eve to go gather Data Report Cards from all the mecha and spaceship debris around.
She needed to double check her current data and replace some missing pieces of code or the results could be disastrous.
Of course she also wanted to become a portable program as well, and these would help with that at the same time.
It was truly befiting of the earthling analogy of "Taking down two birds with one stone".
Plus... loneliness is terminal in humans.
here another chapter, weeeee
I promise we will get some action and other living beings in the future chapters huehuehue
Who is Eve really? Her friends, are they still alive? Why are her memories so incomplete even after being reminded of her seemingly former identity?
And who gave her that sword?
Also, how is that ho still alive?
I wonder who piloted the Gumreaper before...
What a cool name, what a cool author right guys?
*insert shameless author here.*
Dont mind if I do!~
