He agreed with Lie Fan's suggestion, but he proposed that Lie Fan wait while he and the others devised a plan of some sort, not just to ally themselves with Lu Bu, but also to face off against Cao Cao who would lose their face because Lie Fan supported Lu Bu in Qing.
