Bab 182: Gamers, Soldiers, Drug Dealers, and a Man from the Province
"We… jump? We're like over 150,000 feet from the ground? We're almost reaching the damned mesosphere and we're supposed to just jump?!" Dara shouted in freight.
"Yes. We have rubber protection so don't worry." Cliff eased her worry.
"What's a damned condom going to do to save us from falling?!"
"Condom? It's a special rubberized suit that can aid in keeping us shrouded. It would also puff up before impact to reduce the stress we will be receiving."
"So it won't hurt?"
"Of course it would hurt. It would still kill normal humans. But we're not normal are we?" Cliff countered.
Other than the soldiers who knew the procedure everyone was gapping with their mouth wide open.
"What about our weapons? I read that there were Exoskeletons and weapons that we can access when we attack?"
"Right. How are we going to deploy those weapons if we're freefalling from the sky?"

Rapture_Tales Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed the Quarantine holidays. I did. As I said I'm working from home and it's a burden. I'm actually more productive now because of all the monitoring. Work from home is NOT the dream. Anyways, I managed to accomplish my hopes for this resting period. All that's left is to write it. I decided to add a few more chapters to set the stage of the battle rather than introduce the unexpected elements like I did when the Tyrant Empress appeared. I realize that I should have added more backstories to her and how she ended up in China and her battles against Lennox.
Also, just a side note. Gardo Dalisay is actually based on an ongoing popular Filipino TV series about a Ricardo (Cardo) Dalisay. In this TV series, Cardo has a twin brother living in Metro Manila and worked as a police officer who died undercover. The cops needed the undercover mission to continue, so they got a hold of Cardo who lived in the suburban provinces of the Philippines and made him resume his late brother's mission.
Hence the title of the TV series "Ang Probinsyano" or A man from the province. Now I don't even watch the show, but I gotta give my Filipino readers some sort of inside joke if you will. Hence the name.
