"So? Where?"
"I don't know."
"What?! Oi, Sei—!"
Zaki put his hand on his forehead while the other hand was on his hip. He couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief. He couldn't believe that this man actually agreed to going out without even knowing where the hell they were heading.
"Hey, are you deliberately trying to make things hard for me? What if she wants to bring you to a huge crowded market? Do you expect me to secure such a place for you in a short period of time?" Zaki's anxiety and worry could be heard in his voice but the stone cold man just glanced at him blankly.
"Do you really think she'll bring me to a market?"
"Huh?! How should I know? Why did you not ask her in the first place?"
"I did. But she didn't tell me. She said she had a plan."
Zaki was speechless and he could only force out a laugh. He was mystified. He had been with Sei since they were kids and he knew that Sei was not a fan of recklessness and uncertainty at all.
'That little wild dandelion, what the hell did she do to this frozen log? How did she manage to make him agree without even telling him where they were going?'
"I'll go ask her. If the place is dangerous, then—,"
"Dangerous, huh? Aren't we the dangerous ones?"
"Oi, you're being way too relaxed! Besides, didn't you say we should keep a low profile for the time being?"
"Do you think anyone will expect me to even set my foot in such a place? Besides, aren't you going to be there?"
Sei stared at him with his same blank yet absolute gaze, making Zaki subconsciously run his fingers through his brown hair. He then let out a big sigh as he was forced to raise his white flag and just stared back at the frozen stone across him.
"I got it, I got it." Zaki started moving towards the door still looking a bit worried, however, the moment he closed his eyes, a slow, devilish smile started to form on his face. He could be compared to being a top-notch actor who was perfectly able to switch from being a worrywart young man to the most mischievous, evil villain in existence. "I'll go ask her for details," he said before shutting the door.
…
"Young Miss, Mr Chen has arrived," whispered the old butler to the sweaty young lady who was amazingly focused on a colorful maple tree bonsai. As soon as she heard him, she stood right away and looked at the old man.
"Where is he?"
"In the lounge, sitting on the sofa."
"Thank you," she said, before running away towards the mansion as fast as she could, like a kid who was excited to see her parents who have just arrived home from a long vacation.
A few moments later, Davi finally saw the man she was looking for. During the five days after she signed the contract, Mr. Chen was the one who stayed with her. He was the one who took care of everything in the hospital and during those five days, Davi started to feel more comfortable around him. That was why she was sure that of all the people around her at the moment, Mr. Chen was the easiest for her to approach.
"Mr. Chen, can we talk?"
The disguised Zaki was surprised. He didn't expect that Davi wanted to talk to him as well.
"Of course, of course. I do have something to tell you, too."
Davi seemed glad when Zaki agreed right away. However, she kept glancing up towards the stairs and she looked visibly unsure about whether to talk to Mr. Chen about her plan in this room.
"What is it?" Zaki asked, even though it was obvious that Davi was being wary because Sei might hear her.
"Uhh… let's go talk in the garden." She said, as she gave him an awkward but pleasant smile, making the man nod his head in an instant.
Zaki quietly followed her and as they walked, he looked around and was a little surprised at the little changes he saw in the previously dull garden.
"You did all this?" he asked while his eyes were glued to the little colorful trees which were arranged beautifully.
"Uhh. The maids helped me," she replied, which made the man nod as if telling her he was pleased. "Uhm Mr. Chen… that… I was planning to take him out for a date tomorrow."
"Where?"
Davi stepped closer to him then whispered something in his ear. Once he heard about her plan, Zaki looked like he was thunderstruck. He was stunned for a moment, like he didn't really know how to react, but just like a pro, he nodded his head right away, telling her that he understood what she wanted to happen.
"So what's the plan? I'm sorry, but I need to know for security purposes. Don't worry, I won't tell him anything!" Zaki's supportive tone made Davi feel relieved, which was reflected through the pleased smile across her beautiful face.
