"Are you sure that this is the guy?" He asked while walking in the alley inside the police station. He just wore his eyeglass to cover his eyes and avoided the eye contacts he was receiving.
I mean, a ravishing and handsome man in simple clothes is walking like a model. Who wouldn't stare? He was just wearing a plain white shirt covered with Jaybaek Couture Kakhi linen jacket and matched with Kakhi linen pants.
"yep, let's talk in my office," Louise said while leading him towards her office. She made sure that no other officer would go inside her office at this time.
She opened a file from her drawers and scattered it on her table. "read or just thorough explain?" She waited for his answer as she scanned the file.
He nodded and said, "second one," He positioned himself on the chair beside the table. He held his hands on his thigh as he was trying to not let his anger out.
"Name's Julius Kim. Age 40. He had a wife but she died last year due to a Lukemia. He doesn't have any stable job. He worked as a waiter, baker, janitor in Elk Grove Academy and lastly, the longest job he had was as a cleaning staff in White Hospital which was 14 years ago. He was fired without any reason. Does any of this ring a bell? "
He thought for a while and realized, he didn't fully know everything about his wife. Her past and her connections." I'm not really in the good side of my fiancée. I just can't knock to her family and announce it to them. It'll be a hassle. "
She nodded as she understood him and replied, "very well Mr. CEO, let's see this guy,"
He was nervous deep inside yet he concealed it. He never looked at anyone around him but the ground. When Louise called him twice, he looked up.
"you ready?" she opened the door and there was Julius, sitting down in a chair with bruises. The guy didn't care about the officers getting in and out.
"okay Mr. Kim, I need you to cooperate with—"
"what's there to cooperate with?"
Jun sighed deeply and used his low voice, "you should consider yourself lucky because you're still alive,"
Julius laughed and said, "say that to your fiancée,"
Jun was about to go up but Louise held him. Julius sure had sarcasm in his life.
"what do you know about her? Why her?" she asked while forcing Jun to sit back on the chair.
"Her family can rot in hell for all I care!" He shouted before laughing evilly.
Jun raised her eyebrow before looking at Louise for help. She sighed and asked, "what did they do to you? From what I know is that they're a good family. They've been helping the unfortunates."
He scoffed, "there's more. That family is merciless and sadistic. I'm thinking they're ruling Hell, just pretending to be humans." He puckered his lips before smiling like a madman.
"I can help you, just tell me what they did to you?" Jun muttered. He snapped his attention to him.
"you're going to turn your back to your fiancée? I'm thinking the fuck no thank you."
"That's it, I'm out of here," he slammed the chair to the side as he walked away but before he could open the door, Julius said something that almost scared him to death.
"kindly remind your fiancée that roses are red, violets are blue, run all you can, I'm still coming for you"
_______
He slumped down on the chair as he sighed. He for sure was not going to tell her about what happened a while ago. Delivering threats for her won't be easy.
"ugh, what am I supposed to do?" he groaned, almost crying. Just the thought of her shaking and crying because of it, scared him to death.
"Jun, I think it's best if you tell her. Don't be that of man who hides things in attempt to protect her because it will not," she slowly said as she grabbed the coffee on her table. She thanked her co-worker for delivering it. She looked at the desperate Jun and felt pity for him.
Jun in the other hand sighed and ran his hand on his face." She's easily scared. What if she's traumatized? She couldn't handle these things. I can't just tell her about what he said,"
She sighed and thought for a while before correcting him, "that's because it's in your nature, in men's nature to doubt and jump into conclusions. If you want to solve this problem without involving her and her family, just ask her directly about her life, if she got into accidents to look for traumatizing memories. "
He jumped and looked at the time before he thanked her," you're the best friend ever. I gotta go, it's already 8, " he hugged him before walking away.
She looked at the door before moving her head alternately to the side." I'm just the best friend, " she said before smiling sadly.
Her phone suddenly rang and she looked at the caller ID before answering it. "you never guess who just walked in the bar,"
Suddenly, I'm interested in crime and thriller chapters.
Since I'm in a good mood and I got 2 subjects left, I decided to update. I'm thinking of updating at least 4 chapters. Well, this is the 2nd one, anyways.
Happy reading everyone ?
