Bab 1289: Mother's Advice

"So you were playing with my daughter's emotions," came the displeased comment from Lu Jinhai. 

"I was giving her a chance to think it over again and to go away from me," Ming Rusheng added. 

"Go away from you? Why? Didn't you want her to be with you?" Lu Jinhai was not ready to back down and no one meddled in between this soon-to-be father and son-in-law.

Nothing affected Ming Rusheng as all he could do was, to be honest. "Before my accident, we had a fight and Lian wanted to leave me so I didn't wish her to return to me just because she felt indebted to me for saving her. I wanted to give her a chance and not to feel guilty or as if she owed me something."
