Chapter 75 – Warmed-Hearted People?
The VIP level increased when players bought diamonds with real money. However, it would not increase when players used the LUCK of their characters to exchange for diamonds.
To get VIP level one, the total accumulative purchased diamonds had to be 100 or higher.
For level two, the total accumulative purchased diamonds had to be 300 or higher.
For a higher level, the number of required diamonds increased.
All the VIP requirement was as the following;
VIP1 – 100 Diamonds
VIP2 – 300 Diamonds
VIP3 – 600 Diamonds
VIP4 - 1,000 Diamonds
VIP5 - 1,500 Diamonds
VIP6 - 2,000 Diamonds
VIP7 - 3,000 Diamonds
VIP8 - 5,000 Diamonds
VIP9 - 10,000 Diamonds
VIP10 - 20,000 Diamonds
The highest level of VIP was ten, and the requirement was to accumulate a sum of 20,000 diamonds or higher with MWD, which was too absurd even for someone in a billionaire family.
"I have to spend twenty billion dollars for a game? Devs, you are greedy bananas! If I have that much money, I'll create a thousand of AAA+ online games for myself with all HAX cheats!"
Under the VIP description details, there were mini-messages.
<<Unless you plan to migrate your soul in here forever, you should not squander your money. Consult with your personal financial manager before you invest in this game.>>
"Well, thanks for the reminder! Nope!"
Mia gritted his teeth as he did not want to spend a dime for this game's microtransaction items. However, he needed that VIP2 privilege to complete his current rescue quest, so he could log out of the game.
The game did not state any detail about what might happen if Mia failed the quest. He did not want to risk getting into a scenario which he might be trapped in-game forever.
Thus, with heavy breathing, Mia pressed the purchase diamond button and bought 300 diamonds with his real money.
300 Million MWD flew away from his bank.
<<You have bought 300 diamonds!>>
<<Congratulations, you are now VIP2!>>
<<Buy 300 more diamonds, and you will be VIP3!>>
Mia checked his privilege details right away. As he was now a VIP customer of this stupid game, he had to know what else he could do with these VIP2 perks.
.
<<VIP1 Tier>>

- You can buy a daily VIP1 gift box from the shop.
.
<<VIP2 Tier>>

- Items in privilege shops are 10% cheaper.
- You can hide your display name from other players.
- You can buy a daily VIP2 gift box from the shop.
- Possess all perks from the lower VIP tiers.
.
It was a template format of a money-grubbing game. The more the player bought diamonds, the more pay-to-win perks the player could obtain.
It was a simple yet effective bait that milked many rich gamers in the past.
Grandma, dad, mom, I have sinned.
As Mia was praying to his parents and grandmother, he reopened the menu and disabled his name indicator.
<<You have hidden your criminal records and your name.>>
<<Please note that other players might think that you're an NPC in this mode. Do not abuse this feature to scam other players.>>
The red name disappeared.
'Alright, time to move on.'
Mia followed Crystal's instruction as he tried to leave the garbage center and the industry area.
While Mia was walking in his exoskeleton gears and guns in his arms, many workers frowned at Mia. Though they gazed at him with suspicion, they did not report him to the local police or the military. All workers simply shook their head and ignored Mia's existence as if he was only a passing-by nerd.
Soon, a team of security guards walked to Mia, "Hey, little girl. This is not a place to come in and play. Are you lost?"
Mia wanted to retort that he was a 100% male without a wu-wu. As his brain's function temporary went haywire from anger, all of his reflexive actions came from his muscle memory and instinct. Mia shyly smiled while his face brushed, pretending to be flustered. His vocal cord squeezed as he changed his voice.
"My friends kicked me out of their car and dumped me here after a party. Do you know where the exit is?"
It was the same voice that he always used in the public when he was nervous, a girly melodious voice.
The securities flinched and were shocked. If this were a prank, this would be a harsh one. Dumping a girl in the garbage center area had many hidden meanings behind this act.
To the securities, she was a victim of bullying.
One of them shed a tear as he felt terrible for Mia.
"Girl, you can turn right at the next intersection. Then, you'll find the main road. Once you get on the main road, you can find the business section on your left."
"T-Thank you, sir."
One of them passed a banknote to her. It was a 100 baht bill, which was the currency of this country.
"Take this. At least you can catch a taxi or a bus home. If you see your friends again, muster your courage and retaliate, alright? Slap them on the face and give them a middle finger."
"Err."
"That's right. They are not your friends! The moment they dumped you here, you sever all ties with them!"
"…"
One of them wrote something on a paper and passed to Mia, "Here's my phone number. If they bully you again, call me, and I'll get everybody here to help you! Those assholes need a beating!"
"…"
Mia blinked in confusion, 'What the heck are they talking about? Bully?'
Though Mia was puzzled by their reaction, he took the money anyway.
"T-Thank you! I'll refer my friends if they are looking for a good boyfriend."
"HAHAHA! You bet!"
"AHAHAHA! Don't refer anyone to this guy. He already has a wife and two kids!"
"Hey, shut it! You also have a girlfriend!"
"Dafuq? She is my neighbor. That's not the same!"
"I sense a dating-sim MC fag. Say, girl, don't introduce any friend to these idiots. They don't deserve to date a schoolgirl."
The guards were getting rowdy as Mia promised them to introduce a girl to them.
Looking at how lively there were, Mia did not want to harm these warm-hearted people. It was as if they had a good life in this place, and he was nothing but the embodiment of chaos.
Poor local humans. I'll try not to harm you, but I killed one of the workers already. I'm so sorry.
Mia bowed to them and excused himself. The securities waved their hands at him, cheering for Mia.
*Nom-Nom?* (We're not going to eat them?)
"No, Tama. Don't attack anyone until I tell you so."
*Mrrr* (They smell so delicious.)
"…"
.
= Ten minutes later =
A white limousine, five black sedans, and a van, all equipped with dark tinted windows and windshield, parked at the location where Mia and the securities conversed. The rear window of the limousine lowered, revealing a scarred face middle-age man in a white suit.
All securities who had talked to Mia stood there in one line like real soldiers. When the car parked, the bowed in 90 degrees.
The scarface, who was still puffing his cigar, turned to look at one of the securities who spoke with Mia.
"How is the girl?"
"She's a rare find, sir. I believe we can sell her at a high price. She also seems to be a virgin from what we inspect."
"Good. When did she leave?"
"Sir, the girl has just left here about five to ten minutes. She shouldn't have gone too far."
"Did all of you used the same trick?"
"Yes, sir. We gave her a banknote embedded with our tracking device. You can trace her with your GPS."
"Very good. Once I get my hands on her, I'll pay the usual with the bonus if she is a virgin like you said."
"Thank you, sir!"
The yakuza boss closed the window, and the cars drove off toward the direction where Mia was walking.
.
Inside the back of the limousine, the laptop screen displayed a GPS map, which revealed the current location of Mia. They were only a few hundred meters away.
The scarface yakuza grinned, "She hasn't gone too far as they said."
*BEEP*
The red dot in the map suddenly changed its location. From the sidewalk, it dashed into a building. Then, it traveled in a direction that car could not follow as the red dot cut across several blocks of buildings at once.
"WTF!? Is this shit broken!?"
